Pros: The location is great. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel compound is very spacious. You can easily walk for an hour from your room and visit the old ruins of balaclava, the horse stable and the tortoise enclosure. If you are lucky...More

We don’t go on any trips therefore can’t answer your question. Few people we spoke to said they hired a driver for the day but didn’t use the tour operated ones as they were more expensive. The resort do a free glass bottom boat trip + other water sports which is great value. Good question about currency as they do use local currency in the resort and you can buy them in uk and take with you. We only took US$ and wished we had taken local currency. Not sure what the rate would e at the airport in comparison to buy in uk.
There wasn’t enough sunbeds for number of people and rule is if you put a towel down they will remove if not used after 90mins. Not sure how true this is as we never saw anyone’s towel being removed. You can sunbathe from 7am as sun is out, so you did get the odd few doing that, then go & have breakfast.
Hope you have a lovely birthday and lovely time!
