A group of 8 of us with own sleeping bags stayed in hotel for overnight stay before trekking to Mt Toubkal the next morning. The owner organised a great dinner for us at short notice which was great value for money and very tasty. Rooms were cold but we had enough clothes so no big deal. Hot shower was great... More

Staff here is very friendly ad helpfull with everything. That made up a great deal for the cold I suffered in this place. It was about 8 degrees C in my room during the day. Same thing in the salon. I sat on the floor in the sun on the roof terrace the whole afternoon to stay warm. But I... More

In February this place was cold, but there is an effective heater in each room and as we were the only guests we got all the blankets. Dinner is a tagine each night; breakfast bread and an omelette. They arranged transport for us to and from Marrakech airport for a total of 900 DHM, which workd well but you could... More

Stayed for 3 nights in February. Great value, with breakfast and dinner included, and the location is ideal for walking. The hotel manager was really helpful and friendly, giving us advice on short walks we could do ourselves, and organising an excellent guide for a trip further up in the mountains. He also arranged our transport to and from the... More

I ended up at the Hotel Soleil after arriving in Imlil and discovering that the CAF Refuge is closed indefinitely. I only stayed a couple of night because I'm a wimp about the cold -- and the rooms were very cold while I was there (I slept in two pairs of pants, my fleece, a sweater, and my rain coat.... More

We stayed there as group of 10 persons. Our goal was to climb upon the Mt. Toubkal. First thing which comes to my mind thinking about this location is the service. The owner/manager was very helpful. Honestly, I could say that the service provided there was the best (and the humblest) in all visited Marocco sites!!! The rooms are basic,... More

The chef is amazing, so helpful and kind. Very good meals in good price, especialy breakfast. Nice room, comfortable bed, wifi, hot shower but no heating in the room, maybe was to warm for locals? Strongly recommend

Stayed 1 night before the ascent up toubkal and 2 nights when we came down. Guys here are very helpful. Rooms are basic with shared bathroom but are very clean and its cheap. Was quiet when we stayed so had the roof terrace to ourselves with a lovely view with the mountains all around. Didn't eat here as couple restaurants... More

A very clean hotel with basic accommodation but excellent food at dinner and breakfast prior to trekking into the mountains and at lunch (two days later) on the descent from the mountains. Nothing seems too much trouble and anything reasonably requested happens with the minimum of fuss. The beef tagine that we were served for lunch was superb.

At very short notice and with frequent changes, I arranged a 4 day walking holiday for my wife and I in the Atlas Mountains by e-mail. I contacted Abdellatif, the owner of Hotel Soleil, on my daughter's advice because she had had good experience with him. Every e-mail was answered quickly and helpfully. The first and last nights of our... More
