We had a wonderful lunch at this magnificent mountain retreat near the foot of Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Lunch was quite good and was served in the sun on a nice terrace. The setting and the sense of peacefulness were almost overwhelming. It's a bit of a hike up to the Kasbah, but well worth it....

We visited the Kasbah Du Toubkal for a late lunch as part of a day trekking in the Atlas Mountains in early February. It has a beautiful and unique setting with the food being served on a sun drenched terrace with stunning views of the mountains and valley. It’s listed by the National Geographic as one of the 22 most...

Hello So glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks for your kind comments. Certainly the Atlas Mountains are spectacular in winter and hopefully sunny days. I was in Marrakech the other day and it was the coldest I have ever known. Thanks for your visit Mike

We had booked a walk in the Atlas Mountains and on our way stopped at this Kasbah. We had heard of it through a friend but did not expect to find it so beautifully positioned with such a sumptuous Moroccan interior. The views of the Atlas Mountains were breath taking. Staff so friendly and welcoming. We are coming back to...

Travelled here as a couple in October. Food is lovely, well cooked and generously served Staff are very welcoming, friendly and cannot do enough to help. Rooms are comfortable and warm with hot water bottles in bed every night. Views are unbelievable! We also took the option to do a two day trek to their lodge in another valley, highly...

Dear Sammy 1 and partner Thank you so much for visiting and for visiting our Lodge. The Azzaden Valley is more highly populated than the Imlil Valley itself but practically untouched by tourism. I believe you made a very good choice by visiting. We look forward to welcoming you again. yours c

This place is perfect for Trekkers . I am not one but I give it full marks for - a warm caring and thoroughly professional staff. I was given boots a walking stick and Ali - a guide with more than 30 years experience and to whom all credit must be given for my climbing a snow clad peak -...

Dear 423Didier, Thanks for visiting us over your Christmas break. The peace and quiet in the High Atlas and at the Kasbah Du Toubkal is hard to imagine and the genuine nature of the "staff folklore" is magic to experience. This year I was unable to be there. Please come again. wr c

Spent 2 nights here in Nov 2016. It had snowed a few days earlier, but we had sunny cold days when we were there. Apparently this used to be a prison during the French era, and has been updated an modified. Your luggage gets taken up to the Kasbah via mule and you walk up the 10 minutes or so....

Thanks for your review and so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and we hope to welcoming you back to our Kasbah. The history of the old Kasbah is often confused as much of it has not been written down and stories develop. We know the old Kasbah was owned by Caid Souktani a local ruler and it is...

this was the perfect getaway spot for my husband and I. The food is bountiful and absolutely delicious--they certainly uphold the Berber culture. The hotel prioritizes giving back to the local community, as they charge guests 5% to support their cause. The room and main building stayed warm despite the winter cold outside. The wifi is definitely spotty, but you...

Thanks Amanda for your generous and informative review. We have noted the "decaf" and will see where it went and replace. The complementary Residents Walks are always very informative and give a great insight to the Berber lifestyle which does in the mountains involve a lot of walking. Please do come back and see us again. warm regards c
