Excellent trip to Senegal for 2015/2016 New Year's Eve. The hotel is excellent, fantastic accommodation, always clean, organized, spacious, beautiful bungalows, cleaned linen, friendly staff overall, varied activities for those who do not like to be standing still. It has 2 very good swimming pools and a private beach guarded by security guards, so that locals do not bother with... More

I spent a week at this resort and the experience was good. The place is well designed and gardens are well maintained. The staff are helpful though not all speak English. The food was ok with a variety of bread and fresh fish. The beach is beautiful with clear cold water, though not good for swimming since there are too... More

This is a beautiful place to stay, well-designed and comfortable. The dining room and main pool area are right by the beach with beautiful views. The food is very nice. The rooms are in separate "cabins" and are nice - but could be improved by having separate areas for children rather than having all beds in one open area. They... More

We spent one night there and and enjoyed the Senegalese atmosphere & welcome. Our room was a little far about 5-7 mns walk through winding and beautiful well maintained small flower “gardens “. The sea was a little rough and the red flag was flying ...no one was swimming at sea. They do however have a nice pool near the... More

Room and bathroom adequate, but the gardens are beautiful. The staff was very helpful specially with older ladies. I was alone but it was not a problem. Food, specially fish was good. The down side are the entertainement, loud and not very inventive, and alas the sea ! Beautiful beach but lots of rocks and quite cold as this is... More

We visited the Decameron Baobab resort as a family holiday and travelled with a 2- and 5-year old. After landing in Dakar airport, we had a 2 hour shuttle service to the hotel. The highway towards the resort was only partially finished so the last part of the journey took us already through small villages and past marvellous baobab trees.... More

Email a few days before arrival: "sorry, you will be downgraded in garden bungalows and you will have to leave one day before departure."..we had booked 3 month in advance for family coming to Senegal, double checked a month before as we heard they had massive surbooking...it was holidays time so not easy to find last minute alternative options. I've stayed at this place numerous times and though lovely, the customer service is absolutely horrible. I had reservations confirmed and then called back to verify days prior only to find out that they were overbooked and I was on a waitlist. This happened to more multiple times and therefore I will not return.

We just spent 2 weeks in this resort, overall enjoyed it very much. It is very well planned as it has a nice quiet pool area, away from the animation junk. The gardens, everything is well kept, the food was great. However if you travel with children and hope to have something to do for your children from the program... More
