A unique destination awaits you with natural health & gift shop, homeopathic apothecary and Cafe/kiosk out the front available on-site to support a vibrantly healthy Seychelles' experience. We spent 4 nights at Villa Abundance at The Station - it was perfect for a family - spacious and clean and had everything needed and more for self catering. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and helped with extra information needed. The location is great because of the views and you're close to the forest walks. Highly recommended.

Back from a perfect 10 day stay at The Station, if you are looking for a tranquil place away from Victoria than this is the place, nice garden and swimming pool, great hospitality and good food. The room was as clean as can be and the attention to detail is found everywhere, even fresh flowers all over the place. I highly recommend a stay at The Station, especially if you love birds.

We stayed at the Station for 4 nights on a half board basis. Jenni, Peter, Rajit and all the staff at the Station are welcoming and friendly. A home from home! The food at breakfast and the set menu at dinner was certainly a highlight; delicious, healthy and wholesome. Hiring a car makes exploring the island much easier, but you should be aware that the hotel is located up a long and narrow road. The option of the half board / evening meal was important to us to avoid driving in the dark for dinner. The location is great for the views and it is only a short drive to Victoria. The rooms and special touches around the terrace and pool area were lovely. Unfortunately there wasn't any yoga on during our stay but there was a nice space to practice. There is also a homeopathy shop on Site. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Station and importantly, we left feeling relaxed and fulfilled.

Thank you for coming to our little sanctuary in these turbulent times. It was lovely having you and we're really pleased that you felt relaxed and at home and that our simple food was to your liking. Thanks also for bringing attention to the fact it is very advisable to always hire a car in Seychelles - whether here or elsewhere - because the island has so much to offer in terms of lovely beaches and we feel it is important to visit as many as possible. Of course this is easier under one's own steam rather than waiting for buses or hiring a taxi which is very expensive on the island. Welcome back any time! Kind regards Jenny & Peter

This is definitely the worst hotel we have ever stayed in! We were staying at The Station for a two week workshop run by a lady who had hired out the hotel for us for the entire duration, so unfortunately we couldn’t leave. It looks lovely in the photographs, with the ocean in the background. And indeed the building is old colonial style and painted freshly white with fresh white linen and some lovely touches. However the people that run the place, Jenny and Peter understand nothing of hospitality. Peter picked us up from the airport, meeting us with an air of hostility and arrogance. Thank goodness we met the kind and gentle local, Ruben who carried our suitcases to our room. Ruben became for us the person who served us in the mornings and at lunch and we came to rely on him for our needs, such as how to work out the complex internet connection here, as we had to pay for special cards. (Secyhelle internet is poor and very expensive). He was graceful, kind and went out of his way to help us. Unfortunately he disappeared during the second week, without a trace?..! Peter and Jenny have never worked in hospitality before, which they themselves informed us about..so it seems we were guinea pigs! Peter made and served breakfast and also dinner, he was painful to be around, with his sarcastic comments and the degrading way he looked at my daughter when she didn’t finish all the food on her plate. We’ve have never experienced such rudeness in our lives!
There was no air-conditioning and with temperatures soaring up to to 34 degrees, this was hard to take. There is no fridge in the rooms or tea/coffee making facilities. The mosquitos here are the most persistent, for all our years of travel, we have ever come across - yet there were small glassless openings above the window, where these blood-sucking insects could freely make their way into the rooms! There were three vegetarians with us and I have gluten-free requirements. Although they run a so called Health Centre and Cafe, they didn’t even know what gluten-free meant! Peter described to us his trip into town where he was able to source some gluten-free ingredients, however the way he told this story made us feel that we were greatly painful guests to him. On day two of our stay it was pretty obvious there was no hot water in our room. Peter came in and tried to fix it, however was unable to do so. He let us know the plumber would be in over the next couple of days. No plumber ever came, so we had 2 weeks of cold water, which I don't mind, but at the price we paid to be there, it would have been nice to wash our hair in warm water every now and again. On day 4 of our stay at The Station, my daughter and I had a build up of washing that needed doing. As it was advertised in our rooms, that there was a washing service, I inquired with Peter where I might find the laundry bags. I actually got told off for having washing!!! Now I am gobsmacked. He actually told me it was too soon to be having washing! And tonight we are leaving, and I must say it is rather like being given a get-out-of-jail free card! Do not recommend.

While this review is indeed very disheartening it did not come as a surprise. We could write a diatribe on the difficulties we faced hosting this guest but it is not our style to cast aspersions on another's character. Nor do we feel it would serve anyone. It would also not redeem us being that no potential guest could ever know the real story. Suffice to say we should have used our instincts on day one which was to refund the organizer this guests' money so that she could move into another hotel from where she could have travelled to the daily perfumery sessions at The Station which would not have been impossible. In hindsight there would have been far more harmony for all had we followed our hearts. While our little hotel is new The Station is not new to service. We have a solid reputation built over 17 years as a caring, conscious establishment and do our very best to meet the demands and requirements of our guests. We are not perfect but consistently go the extra mile – as we did in this case. There are, however, limits to what anyone should be expected to endure - and this guest tested us way beyond our limits. We are more that happy to have constructive criticism should it be warranted but this review was certainly not well intentioned. We love our little hotel as much as our lovely guests do and take pleasure in hosting the really amazing, conscious, well-mannered, cultured individuals who show appreciation for the simple pleasures and kind gestures we offer at The Station. With one exception all our guests have departed leaving us with happy energy, lovely memories, interesting conversation and more, for which we are forever grateful. Jenny & Peter

The Station, although it is a hotel, we only visited for a lunch. The decor of the public places and restaurant is amazing, but the food was very average outside of a spicy green chilli paste/sauce that was amazing. The owner, Debra (if that is the correct spelling), was reasonably unfriendly and kept away from us most of the time.

Apologies for this late response. We missed this somehow. Thanks for coming to our haven in the mountains and for appreciating the space. Deborah was our manager and at that time was not well. While this is not an excuse for average food and unfriendliness on the day, we do however want to assure you that we make every effort to provide freshly cooked, delicious food without compromise. We hope you'll come back one day to experience this differently. Kind regards.

Even if you don't share Jenny & Peter's respective passions for homeopathy & classic wooden yachts, a stay at their peaceful & historic lodge 10 minutes up the hill from downtown Victoria will be a wonderful experience. They & their delightful staff have created a very comfortable space with a spectacular view of St. Anne, Cerf, Round, Moyenne & Long Islands, delicious locavore meals, relaxing massages, & free yoga lessons. We were very fortunate to be the only guests during our stay, which thus felt even more like staying in a friend's home.
Business travelers may miss bulletproof WiFi, but we were able to purchase very adequate WiFi from the local Cable & Wireless carrier. And for those who are fussy about creature comforts, consistent with Jenny & Peter's "green"/sustainable ethos, the rooms don't have air conditioning, but we found the ceiling fans & good cross-ventilation kept things quite comfortable even during an exceptionally rainy stay in late November/early December. Rooms & facilities are spotless - yes, as everywhere in the tropics, there's an occasional insect or gecko, but if you're seeking an antiseptic environment, you're probably going to pass over the Seychelles anyway.
If, on the other hand, you're looking for an authentic encounter with long-term residents & lodging with a distinct character, tune into the good energy at The Station. We look forward to a return visit!

It was lovely meeting you both and especially rewarding watching you wind down so quickly. We do hope your onward journey to Praslin and La Digue was enjoyable with sunny skies and that you managed to see the bird life you so hoped to. My wife and I celebrated our first Anniversary with our First trip overseas to Seychelles. She had won the this trip in a competition and I can truly say we were left breath taken by this adventure. The service and care shown by Peter and staff was 5 star and superb. although Peter was not there, he provided detailed advice for our first trip abroad, help arranged a surprise birthday cake for my wife too. The restaurant is 98% vegetarian but when given notice prepared pancakes for us for breakfast (with a glorious view of the ocean) the chef even gave us his best spots to visit and assisted us with the bus time table (stops opposite the hotel) the rooms and views are all superb, tranquil though not best for WiFi which has to be bought from local provider.
The massage at the spa was also superb and highly recommended. All in all a lovely destination and well worth the visit.

The team is incredibly attentive & cheerful. Everything they do, they do with great care and passion - either it'll be homoepathy, yoga or the eggs in the morning. I especially loved our room, which was just the perfect mixture of comfortableness and design. Thanks to Jenny, Peter & the team The Station is a delightful oasis I would always recommend to anybody.

Having spent a lot of time researching accommodation and taking advice from a friend who lives locally, we booked to stay for four nights at The Station. We were not disappointed! Everything was just perfect from the word go. Jenny, Peter and their wonderful team were extremely friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious and bright, with a lovely terrace and an extremely comfortable bed! We also loved the shower gel and shampoo in the room, which are produced on site. Breakfast and dinner (nutritious, locally sourced and prepared by the talented Rashid) were absolutely first class - the highlights for us being the coconut and banana porridge in the morning and the delicious soups in the evening - with the dining area boasting a wonderful view. Location wise, it is ideal if you have a car as it is a short (around 10 minutes) drive into Victoria, however even if you don’t drive, there is a bus stop within a minute’s walk of the property. I am so glad that we chose to stay here and look forward to doing so again on our return to the Seychelles.

Every corner in this place and every piece of furniture has a story from the owners past. Jenny and Peter build this place with a lot of love and purpose and that’s why it’s such a unique and lovely place. It’s not for everyone though, if you love your WiFi then stay away. It’s a place to fine peace and calm enjoy the views, go for some nice walks in the mountain trails. There’s also a small unit that produces and sells natural essences and lotions ...etc really worth trying. We didn’t have the chance to get any treatments or consultation. Finally a special mention to Rashid a cheerful character who made our stay really special. He looks after many things at the station and also makes great omelets and coconut porridge
