We stayed in Junior Suite No.7. Had it's own small garden and terrace and very private. 58 seconds from the beach. The location is idyllic. The hotel is 3* plus. The pool area is somewhat tatty as it butts right onto the sea and obviously suffers the consequences, though the pool itself was clean. But why you'd want to be by... More

The location and views are spectacular. The hotel and pool are perched on boulders jutting out into the ocean. We found the shore snorkeling good with more unusual sightings like lion fish, a school of 5 Korean angel fish, and turtles. Coral seemed less prolific than on Praslin and Le Duc islands. Due to the monsoons, we swam to the... More

My husband & me stayed here for our honeymoon at the start of march 06, on arrival we had to wait for about 45-60 minutes till our room was ready - not good when your over clothed, hot & tired !!! so our stay didn't start of too great, as all we wanted to do was to head to our... More

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, following 6 nights on Praslin at L'Archipel and 3 nights at Bird Island, both of which are faultless. Sadly the same cannot be said about Sunset Beach. The public areas are very attractive, and the beach is fine. There is not shop, as advertised, so you have to travel if you need... More

After a stay at L'Archipel on Praslin (highly recommended) we went to Sunset Beach. We stayed in the Villa. It has potential but is rough around the edges, especially for the price. The staff was non existent and the ones that were around (except for 2 of them) were not the slightest bit helpful or nice. The server(s) during breakfast... More

We stayed at the Sunset Beach for 2 nights following our cruise around the Seychelles. We stayed in a Junior Suite (no 24) which was an excellent size with its own patio and garden overlooking the sea and the sunset. it was adjoining another and we could sometimes hear noise through the wall (esp when our neighbours left at 6am... Stayed at SSB for 7 nights in November 05. We were very disappointed to find that the Hotel seemed to be run down and in need of refurbishment, although in our brochure it stated that this had been done recently - we found no evidence. The swimming pool was dirty and its surround needed a good clean, the floor in... More

The location of the Sunset Beach Hotel is great, the beach is lovely and the snorkelling great - however the sea was too rough for snorkelling for 3 days out of the 7 we were there. The standard rooms are clean, but very small. The rest of the hotel - reception, bar, games area and restaurant are very rundown and... More

We just returned from a Safari/Seychelle holiday and spent 3 nights at the Sunset Beach. When we arrived we found that we had been upgraded from a JR Suite to the Ocean Villa. I certainly would have been happy in the suite but this Villa was absolutely hugh, certainly more than enough room for 2 people. Our view was magnificient,... More
