After a long dusty bumpy road from Arusha. Then the road leading to Serena is even more terrible. But once there, the hotel is an gem. Rooms are attractive with mosquito netting around beds. A balcony with 2 chairs overlooks the valley. Only 1 electrical outlet to charge Ipads, camera, cell phones. So bring an extension adaptor, along with African...

This hotel had an incredible location overlooking Lake Manyara. The infinity pool was just beautiful. There is a bar right at the pool so it is a great place to relax after a long day of game drives. The rooms are very nice and service is impeccable. We reserved a bush dinner and felt like royalty. The bush dinner was...

The lodge/hotel is located about half an hour drive away from the Lake Manyara national park entrance on the top of the escarpment overlooking the park. Stayed here for a night as part of a tour. This was the only lodge I encountered which has free WiFi in the public areas as well as in our room. We were triple...

This Serena Lodge is perched on the edge of the Rift Valley with views of Lake Manyara in the distance. The infinity pool is a delight, with several comfortable loungers and huge clean towels - all a great way to relax after another day in the Land Rover. There is a vast choice of food which is all excellent, and...

Such a great view of the park from above. The rooms were nice...simple and clean. The grounds of this lodge were amazing. The plants and tress are so beautiful. The infinity pool is a nice touch. The food was good and the dining area was nice.

The best lodge I have experienced in northern Tanzania (and the other ones were not bad at all!). Manicures lawns disseminated with huts (in brick and mortar!) in purely local style. Despite being close to a big lake, this is the only lodge in which I found to trace at all of mosquitoes. Priced accordingly.

My husband and I stayed 1 night in this lodge as part of a safaritour organized by Fox Travel(Dutch) & their local partner Leopard tours (Tanzania). We were very happy with their choices of the lodges, and with our driver/guide Daniël Andrew, who proved to be a real gem. As many other reviewers already remarked, Lake Manyara Serena Lodge is...

A really nice Lodge well poistioned on top of a ridge overlooking the park. Can't see animals but the expansive view is 'real' Africa. Super food and service. To get the best seats in the restaurant and quality service be prepared to tip a dollar or two. It is tiny compared with the cost of your trip but the low...

This is a typical Serena lodge with two-story "huts" along winding paths. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are well-appointed. The public areas are nicely done with sitting areas, a bar and the restaurant. The food is good and served buffet-style, except for the entrees, which are ordered off a menu. The desserts and breads here were better than...

This was our second stop on safari and, having just left a tented camp, it was a different experience entirely. The first impression was from the rooms. Huge and extremely comfortable beds, completely surrounded by a mosquito net, wonderful view from the window and a little garden terrace which was constantly busy with little birds. We arrived on our first...
