Our stay in Jongomero followed a wonderful time in Selous. The Ruaha is very different - especially at this time of the year (February) being much greener and dense. The camp and accommodation was exceptional, the welcome very friendly and the food amazing. You should...More

You will not be disappointed. We absolutely loved it here. A stunning camp, wonderful service where you feel like everyone genuinely cares for your wellbeing. Fabulous safari drives and food. We left feeling quite emotional and really hope to go back one day.

About
Description
For anyone seeking a true African wilderness experience, a visit to Ruaha National Park is essential. One of Tanzania's wildest parks, Ruaha can only be described as a true unspoiled natural More wilderness. Superbly isolated right in the heart of the Ruaha National Park lies Jongomero on the banks of a seasonal sand river which bears the same name. Blending in beautifully with its surroundings the camp is tucked away among some shady riverine vegetation not far from permanent water therefore attracting a large amount of animals into the camp area. Being the only camp situated in this area of the park ensures unmatched privacy and a true wilderness experience. The camp is made up of 8 stunning suites, spaced out along the Jongomero sandriver. Apologies for the delayed response. You will likely need a guide to take you for game drive (not sure that we are allowed to be on our own - for safety reasons as well). I suggest you contact the camp where you plan to... More
