We booked a double DELUXE room over hostel world app and got a confirmation for booking. By arrival to the lodge, the reception told us they are overbooked. After a nasty discussion suddenly there was a room for us with 2 separate bads. The room had a very bad shower, no AC and very uncomfortable. We decided to move out....

The lodge is very well located centrally in town. A quiet spot away from the crowdy tourist markets. Price is fair enough with the facilities offered. Very light breakfast was served. And some nice staff to accomodate you ~

Staff are warm and courteous, weak WI-FI on and off, not very good. No restaurant so you need to go elsewhere for meals. No TV. No closets (wardrobes) so it is difficult to organise your clothes. Very hard water so the soap provided will not be of much use and so you need to carry your own shower gel. Lots...

Dirty place, smell of mold everywhere, horrible bathroom with used flip-flops (Who is forgotten them?). Poor breakfast with old bread. Man from reception tried to rob me. The worst experience of our vacation. Run away!!!

Management quite helpful and friendly. Room small and basic, but ok for overnight. We were there in extreme heat - not so warm shower was ok. Working air con and Wi-Fi. Close to beach. Will sleep over there again, but not a holiday stay.

The people were really wonderful, went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable. The hotel is ideally located. The only downside is that there is a club nearby that blasts music till about 12 at night.

We visit this place early August of 2015. We booked the room a day in advanced by tripadviser. We arrived after a short search where the hotel would be, the taxi-driver didn't knew this place. But when we arrived we had to wait for other guest by the meaning they had a change to choose a room and we would...

This hotel is centrally located but also noisy especially if you get a room on the ground floor. You can hear receptionist talking on the phone, pedestrians walking by your window as if they were in the same room. The price is steep at 60 USD per room, rooms rather dirty, breakfast uninspired. We were made to pay upfront for...

This was a nice hotel with friendly people and great food. The rooms were clean and well equipped for the location. We stayed here on our arrival before traveling to Jambiani and for a day on our return. Highly recommend it.

Stone Town is best explored on foot and Zanzibar Stone Town Lodge is conveniently located in the heart of Stone Town. It can be tricky to find it due to the many turns through the narrow pathways but this is an incredibly fun experience with a lot to discover on the way. The rooms are basic but value for the...
