Do not rent or buy from Cherry Beach. Their management has the worst customer service ever - particularly Alyssa. She was very unprofessional. First of all, it was my first time meeting her and she already started going into details about her relationship with her husband and their marriage- very unprofessional. As a potential buyer- I did not need to know this information. When I purchased my cottage, I learned that the cottage is basically not yours at this resort. In addition to the high maintenance fees ($12, 000 per month), you basically cannot do anything without their permission. I wasn't able to paint my cottage or even buy my patio furniture without getting it approved by them first. So, the resort basically owns the rights to everything. They take out the joy of owning a cottage. When I decided to sell my cottage, she wouldn't answer the phone and didn't respond to emails. The lawyers couldn't reach her, the real estate agent couldn't reach her and we were on a tight timeline. She was very careless and selfish throughout the whole process and was extremely rude. In addition to this, she is the one that decides on the price it can sell for- even if you have done many renovations. It was such a frustrating experience. I will never return or buy from Cherry Beach again.

We stayed at Cherry Beach Resort for a 7 day stay at one of the cottages. This resort is ideal for families as they provide a playground, splash pad, salt water pool and an awesome swimmers' beach. You can also take the kayaks, canoes out as well. We loved the grounds as we found plenty to do. Great vacation overall and we would love to visit again. The fact that it was close to Sandbanks was an additional bonus.

Our cottage was very clean, tidy and well stocked. We had hot water, AC, stove, microwave, oven, TV and a lot of indoor games in each cottage. No dishwasher. Beds were comfortable. Space was tight in our cottage but sufficient for our needs. Some of our friend's cottages were much more spacious. We were told the water rentals will be open but when we got there we found out it was not going to open until Phase 2. This was a huge disappointment, but covid related and there is a lot of confusion there. The beach itself is very rocky but we spent a day at Sandbanks Provincial Park Beaches which was only 15 mins away and gorgeous for swimming. Each cottage is different and I really wish they can update their website to include photos so we can select the right cottage for us. The amenities were great - swimming pool, splash pad, basketball court, park etc. The children (ages 6-11) had more than enough things to do to keep occupied. It was very peaceful, lots of space - did not seem crowded or loud even though most of the cottages were occupied. We would go back here - overall experience was great!

We booked 2 x 3 bedroom cottages. I found it to be expensive (about $2500 for 4 nights) for both cottages. However we didn’t want to the the chance with booking a large cottage for our group and violate any distancing rules. Both cottages were fully stocked with all the utensils we could use. We enjoyed the barbecue, nightly bonfires swimming and fishing. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful when we needed life jackets and other items for the free water activities. The whole resort was quiet overall and neighbours were friendly too.

I stayed here with my family. I was disappointed. The room was supposed to have a double bed but it was a single, the TV remote was missing, and for 3 hours in the evening during dinner there was no water site wide. No way to cook, wash hands, shower and flush the toilet. The office also opened late each day that I was there. I tried to contact the manager and also Great Blue Resorts but didn’t get anywhere, absolutely no response.

A great resort to spend a weekend. However, when we arrived our assigned cottage was not ready and we were given a very nice cottage which was up for sale. The problem was that none of the supplies and amenities were avaiable and we had to borrow some pots and had to go and purchase cutlery. Not wanting to go out to eat as we had brought all our food, it made it a bit hard to enjoy the weekend. Other than that the staff was helpful and friendly. Cherry Beach has a lot to offer and it is not far to travel to Lake Ontario.

overall the resort looks nice, Although the offer to take trade ins on your purchase is way below fair market value , to the point of being insulting . We looked into purchasing agai this year and all new models sold out

Stayed for 4 days with our 3 grandkids (10, 8 & 6) and had a wonderful time. The cottage was newer, clean and had everything we needed. The site is well maintained, nice pool, beach on beautiful lake and many activities. The staff was amazing, so helpful and friendly. Best customer service I’ve seen in awhile. Highly recommend this wonderful Resort! the Dubois Family

Great place to stay. Accomodates both adults and children. Staff/residents/guests were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definately recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy the beach, take out some kayaks or paddle boards or sit back and relax at the pool. Location is great, not too far away from going into town if you need anything. Definately exceeded my expectations

My friend booked this place for Victoria Day Long Weekend. The Resort - Trailer - Rep was helpful and nice. I did not expect a lot of this place maybe that is why upon arrival I was quite satisfied with our accommodation and the location of the unit we were in. The complex consists of more than 200 Units some are outdated and some are in excellent condition. The Resort has their own beach, Kids playground, Saltwater swimming pool and Basketball arena. Some of the units are pet-friendly.
