What a great B & B in a beautiful part of New York State. From the moment we arrived, Maria made us feel very welcome. Each evening she asked us about our day and gave suggestions on activities for the following day. She recommended a great drive up the lake to the Windmill market - what a fun market with...

My wife and I just came back from an extended weekend at the Idlwilde and it was everything we had hoped it would be. Beautiful property, very friendly staff, great accommodations. We also splurged and stayed in the carriage house, room #16. If you are looking for a place to just have some downtime that is close (but not too...

We recently spent a long weekend celebrating our 40th anniversary and splurged on Room #6 which is their "Master Suite". Huge bedroom with 4-poster bed, private sitting room as well as a sun room, large bathroom and a private deck. We were not disappointed. Our accommodations were comfortable and immaculately clean. We enjoyed sitting on the deck that overlooked the...

For a last minute trip, it was a good deal...and likely the last room in town. It was close to the state park but not in town. It is situated on a large hill above the town. Had to share a bathroom, which was inconvenient, but not bad. Bathroom was clean. Room #4 was clean and spacious enough for us....

We were greeted with such hospitality by Maria and her husband that we immediately felt welcome at Idlwilde. Maria is so sweet and friendly. Our room and the entire B&B was spotless and beautiful. We stayed in room 6, which I highly recommend because you have your own bathroom, balcony, sunroom, walk-in closet and sitting room. No TVs except in...

This 13,000 square foot mansion has been lovingly restored by the current owners. they provided attentive service and beautiful rooms. The views from the porch were exceptional. the only negative is the fact that they are several hundred feet above the town of Glens Falls which is only a challenge if you have no car, which was our case because...

I stayed here for a wedding during Independence Day weekend. The wide porch with chairs/couches provides an excellent opportunity to relax. The owners Maria and John were very nice. As I am a diabetic, they were very willing to change the breakfasts to accommodate me. I had room #8, and while I can’t comment on the other rooms, this room...

We stayed for 4 nights in the beginning of July 2016 and had a fabulous time. Maria and John were perfect hosts, always asking if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Maria offered great suggestions on places to visit. Breakfasts were very delicious. We stayed in room 14, which has a private bath and is HUGE. Being closest...

I stayed here for a wedding during Independence Day weekend. The view is MAGNIFICENT, and the wide porch with chairs/couches provides an excellent opportunity to relax and take in the lake by day, and the stars by night. The location is extremely close to the town of Watkins Glen, and it's very easy to get from here to the Seneca...
