We had an overnight stay here. The weather was bad but we still managed a drive. We saw thousands of rock cormorants, penguins and other animals and birds. The island is bleak but dramatic and very beautiful. We did a walk the next day to the beach, carefully circumventing the very large colonies of penguins. The lodge is comfortable with...

I was dragged by my husband ' kicking and screaming ' to the Falklands . Sea Lion Lodge converted me! The staff, led by Micky were great. The location was incredible. The wildlife was unbelievable! Go there!!!

Sea Lion island is a wonderful place, it has been totally cleared of rats and sheep, so the ground nesting birds are plentiful there. Much more so than on the other island we visited. Pleasant Lodge, reasonable sized room with an en suite showers room. Good view of one of the penguin colonies from ours. There is a well stocked...

Stayed here for one night as part of a trip to the Falkland Islands. The lodge is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were offered tea and biscuits while we sorted out our plans for the day. We elected to walk to the nearby beach to see the gentoo and magellanic penguins. We also...

What a fabulous place that you can just walk out the door of the lodge and within minutes be with penguins or on a wild beautiful beach with elephant seals hanging out and orcas lazily swimming past! The lodge is comfortable and welcoming with a friendly atmosphere, food is "hearty", convenient to be able to help yourself to tea and...

We have stayed here twice before, the lodge is comfortable with great staff and good food, It is the most southerly lodge in the world accommodating up to sixteen guests in 8 double and single en-suite rooms and five singles with shared facilities. The island has a lot of quite accessible beaches and wildlife incorporating gentoo and magellenic penguin colonies...

Bit of a mix up when I arrived. Having paid over £800 extra for 'no sharing' throughout the holiday, the (tiny) room offered had a shared shower/WC with the adjoining room. I firmly refused this and was subsequently offered a full size room with double bed and en suite. Standard of room is good, with sofa, writing desk and full...

Sea Lion Island is a great place to stay for wildlife enthusiasts with Rock Hopper, Gentoo, Magellanic and the odd King Penguin as well as birds and sea lions.good breakfasts and evening meals. Good Island tour by Mikey Reeves, the host. Friendly and helpful staff. The big plus is the location so it is possible to excuse the slightly tired...

Spent 2 lovely days & nights here superb food comfortable bed and room with good company. Mickey looks after you gently and is a good host. It is a small island easy to walk about as it is flat but with a hat as sun is strong as are the winds. Recommended

The name 'lodge' is deceptive as for me a lodge conjures up luxury, but this is a more 'practical' lodge. This is not a criticism as it is what it is, accommodation and lodgings on a remote island in the Falklands. The rooms are spacious and there is ample room to 'lounge-about'. The staff were very friendly and, Ian the...
