#1 of 34 Speciality lodging in Concon
Riomar is an apart hotel in Concón, a fisherman village on the Chilean coast of Pacific Ocean . We offer 10 apartments, neat and cozy, perfect for a couple or a small family. Each apartment has either balcony or terrace, overlooking the ocean and bird reserve on Aconcagua River. That's where you'll enjoy your morning coffee while hundreds of migratory birds from Central and North America will perform their breathtaking dance in the air. Once you climb down the stairs just by hotel, you'll find yourself in the heart of Chilean capital of gastronomy with a multitude of restaurants offering a variety of fish and sea food. Then a few more steps will take you to La Boca beach, widely known as a surfing spot but also ideal for horseback riding, paragliding, kayaking or just a long sunset walk. A cultural day trip to Valparaiso (30-45 min by car/ public transportation), the bohemian and historical port city of UNESCO World Heritage Site is another must-do in the region.

For the price one can't beat Riomar for economic accomodations in a beautiful setting. Yes,it's a bit dated and the parking situation is atrocious but the cleanliness, very helpful staff and great balcony (with BBQ!) easily make up for any shortcomings. It was great to explore the local fish markets and have the luxury of preparing the catch of the day in the privacy of your own terrace. Marek, Pablo and staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job every morning .(...although a bit stingy with soap and using the same towels for several days). We spent 6 days in the Concon area and we were so glad to come "home" every day to Riomar. For a reasonable price, great location in a clean, secure and welcoming hotel, Riomar is super. Thanks Marek!

Dear Darryl, We are grateful for your commentary. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Your remarks are true, our building is an old one but we have put effort in remodeling it; and with the parking space we do the best we can given the conditions. We hope to see you again soon.

I stayed there twice and i will certainly come back next time i come to Concon. It's sthg between a hotel and a hostel. The rooms are comfortable with a large bed and a private bathroom, all good quality. They don't serve breakfest, yet there is a space in the room where you can cook (a gas stove, a fridge and a water boiler, no microwave). The room has a balcony with a nice view. The hotel is a walking distance from the bus stop with a direct bus to santiago, from the beach and the restaurants (i recommend Secreto). The price of the room is more than encouraging so i give it 5 stars.

My husband and I were lucky to find this place at the last minute. The rooms were well equipped with a kitchen, a little flat screen TV and a big balcony that had a view to the ocean . Not luxurious , but clean, secure and the people at reception were helpful and nice. We were able to save some money by cooking a few meals in the kitchen. My elderly mother also stayed for a night at the end of our four days and she thought it was great too.

It's by far one of the best accommodations i've been in Chile. Most accommodations all around chile are quiet expensive and not even close to the standard of the Riomar. It was just amazing staying at this beautiful place, with the view on the ocean, close to the sand dunes where you have the most beautiful sunsets, it's a perfect spot for surfers, it's only a 3 minute walk to catch the next wave. We spend 3 weeks there Marek and Nadia are amazing hosts and so welcoming and helpful. Provided us with everything we needed and showed us around the area on amazing cliffs and hidden spots in the surrounding area. The rooms are classy and clean with a unique touch of Chile. Very comfortable and cozy and right at the best spot where you can pretty much walk to all the sightseeing spots. All in All we had just a great experience there and are very thankful to Marek for hosting us. Wish you all the best and i'm pretty sure, the next time i will be in chile that's the place to go back to. Thanks again

The first thing I noticed was that the room had a spacious terrace with a view of the Pacific, miles of beaches towards the north, a lagoon with abundant birdlife and the Aconcagua River valley. Next I noticed that the room was very clean, which is not a matter of course in low-budget hotels in Chile. The bathroom seemed to have been renovated recently, and the room felt cozy and modern at the same time. It had a gas burner for cooking, a small fridge, a big flatscreen TV and excellent Wi-Fi. The service was excellent. Marek from Poland, who runs the hotel together with his girlfriend, speaks good English (again something one should not take for granted) and is very friendly and helpful. This hotel offers more than one can reasonably expect for the low price (I could easily have paid twice as much and still have considered it a good deal) and with a personal touch to boot.
