Wonderful experience with a beautiful view. We were met at the door by Malu, the site manager. Kind and very informative. The hotel is quaint and rustic ' we loved sitting in the guest lodge and drinking a glass of wine by the Wood fire. Each room it seemed had bouquets of the most beautiful Ecuadorean roses. I counted 50...

Honestly, I should say everything was amazing, but the food. Pasta was the only one I could recommend, and do not ever try ordering the main course of pork sliced. However, Even the food was not that tasted, l loved their cozy rooms with great viewing of Cotopaxi. The owner Roberto is a nice bilingual speaker, very easy to communicate...

We stayed at Hacienda Porvenir for 2 nights while touring Ecuador. From the moment we arrived, we were treated exceptionally well from all of the staff, from the english speaking reception to the wonderful wait staff. The drive in is quick from Quito through the beautiful Cotapaxi highlands. The hacienda is luxuriously rustic, and the rooms cozy. The common area...

We scheduled a two day, one night package that included transportation, horseback riding, hiking, and the Cotopaxi National Park Tour. We enjoyed every activity and our english speaking guide (Alejandro) was great- very interesting and informative. The property is beautiful, the food creative and excellently prepared, and the hacienda an experience of it's own. Just amazing. We stayed in room...

We did the 5-day riding trip, staying the first night at El Porvenir, 2 nights at Hacienda Tambo, and the last night back at Porvenir. Provenir is outstanding with great staff, amazing rooms, and an unbelievable location. Tambo is a super rustic stone hacienda with no heat source, save a fireplace and no electricity except when they turn the generator...

We loved staying at Hacienda El Porvenir. Roberto was a wonderful host. The hacienda is very beautiful, nestled in the base of Cotopaxi. We stayed in a room that was cozy and appreciated the hot water bottles in bed to keep us toasty. The food in the restaurant was top notch-very creative menu and wholesome food. As a vegetarian, I...

We spent two nights in December at the Hacienda. We had 4 rooms - they were all fantastic. The adults had suites - large rooms, fireplace which was lit in the evening, fantastic hot water, coffee machine etc. Upon arrival, we did the two hour hike and then enjoyed a leisurely evening in the lounge. The horseback ride the next...

Short story: more like a hostel than hotel, but great food, fun activities, and a great location. Long story: we began to doubt that we were headed in the right direction after the road went from pavement in Machachi, to cobblestones higher up, and finally to mud and dirt. Remote is one way to describe it- rural another. But as...

We recently booked 2 nights at the Hacienda Porvenir with our teenagers booked into the Machai Rooms. When we arrived at the property we were shown the Machai rooms and were surprised to find that the rooms weren't rooms at all. The space is a long hallway divided by straw mat walls with curtains for doors. You can see into...

It was a rather bumpy ride to the hacienda, but well worth the trek! The accommodations and service were fantastic - beautiful lounge with a fireplace for reading or having an after dinner drink. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. We did the horse ride, which was really fun. They provide chaps and ponchos so we were comfy and dry...
