Short story: GORGEOUS facility, fine dining, classic service. Long story: my family and I were staying in a hacienda nearby, and came for dinner. My wife and three daughters (14, 12, 9) were excited to try some variety in the cuisine of the area, and came to Santa Ana. We were not disappointed, as the menu was certainly different from...

The staff at this hotel is amazing. They are very friendly and they make you feel like you are at home. The hotel is small and beautiful. The room we had was spacious and the beds are very comfortable. We were only there one night, but spent two days with activities. Freddy was our guide and he feels like part...

Hacienda Santa Ana is located near the North Entrance of the Cotopaxi National Park. It is located in an evacuation site in case of an eruption, which means, it is a safe place to stay. The view is amazing, you can see Cotopaxi, Sincholagua, and Rumiñahui, which are very close to the hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly,...

A bunch of us stayed for two days and a night. Divine surrounds, service and rooms. Meals were excellent, guided walks and horseback riding thoughtfully arranged and high quality. I have been twice and will return.

There was no heat or hot water when we checked in. After hiking all day we desperately wanted a hot shower, but instead had to sit as close to the fire as possible to keep warm. Our bedding was stained and dirty and the room was freezing from no heat. The staff was very kind, but they told us dinner...

COTOPAXI PARK IS OPEN. The park had been closed due to Seismic activity but as of September 2016 it is now open!! It is the perfect time to visit, as there aren't any crowds, as most folks are unaware that the park has opened to hiking! With regard to the hotel: I was traveling through Ecuador with my girlfriend, and...

There are both good and bad aspects to a stay at the Hacienda Santa Ana. First the good: 1. A beautiful location very near the entrance to Cotopaxi National Park. 2. An interesting historical building (a one time Jesuit monastery among other things). 3. Large guest rooms. 4. Excellent guides (Freddie and Flavio). And now the bad: 1. The hotel's...

We arrived at the Hacienda Santa Ana on the 4th of July, and thought for a moment, we had died, and gone to heaven. The scenery is spectacular! Our rooms were charming and extremely clean. The main room had beautiful views, with two wood burning fireplaces. The manager, Jose, went the extra mile to make everything just right! The food...

I had been the contact person for my travel companions for our stay at the hacienda. We had researched this property well in advance and had secured a package plan that included activities. About two months before our arrival i noticed our contacts had changed there but they kept in correspondence with me so I didn't think much about it....

We spent two nights at Hacienda Santa Anna the first part of June. There were two couples in our group, occupying two rooms. We are all "seasoned travelers" in that we have traveled for many years and to many countries. This is a beautiful facility; it has history, it has scenery, even the layout is generally good. While here we...
