The Tambopaxi is an outstanding place to visit. Be aware that you'll find some limitations that are perfectly understandable given that you will be sleeping just a couple of Km from one of the highest active volcano of the world. Here's my review about it Pros. - Outstanding scenery - Higiene - Suitable for families with small kids and also...

Absolute highlight of our trip to Ecuador. Could not recommend Tambopaxi more highly - especially the trout and the house-made aji! We stayed in a double room with amazing views of Cotopaxi and Ruminahui (i think).

Based on a friend's recommendation, we camped at Tambopaxi camping ground. It was simply an amazing experience. I am a professional climber and we were on our way to climb Cotopaxi. And I have camped around the world in all sorts of camping grounds and must admit that Tambopaxi comes right at the top of my list. Not only the...

Unique and beautiful location. It's a very nice environment for walks. Breakfast and dinner were quite alright. Breakfast was included in our price ( private room). Dinner was around 30 dollars for 2 persons. You get a soup, Main dish: fish, meat or chicken and dessert. Room was very cozy with a fire place and stunning view of the Cotopaxi....

Tambopaxi is an amazing hostel to experience the cotopaxi's landscapes. The rooms are super comfortable with an incredible view of the volcano! This is a perfect place to stay and they have also the option for camping. I love this place and it's not much spensive.

Felt like home, near by Cotopaxi as a bonus! Nice staff, great dinner, and incredible view from the dorms. I recomend it if you want to spend a quiet journey surrounded by a national park. We only spent a night but look forward to come back

In addition to the Panoramic View of the national park while we eat.We had a mariachi band that plays the wonderful mythical Andean Condor music. They also offered their own recordings at a reasonable price .The food service was fast, the soup and lunch meat plate was good.

The hotel is right in fron of Cotopaxi, so the views are the best you can get. Food and rooms are average. There was a problem in the bathroom (almost floded the room) as the showers are poorly designed. Very kind staff.

We stayed at Tombopaxi Lodge twice while driving the Avenue of Volcanos, each time for 2 nights. Loved the experience! Views from the room to die for, very warm and friendly staff, tasty food and great service. They have horses that you can ride along the paramos. Yes, power went out once for few hours during the night, but considering...

Pros: inside the Cotopaxi National Park - amazing view - great wood heating system - hot water - good breakfast Cons: not so clean rooms I found lots of dead flys everywhere - wifi didn't work at any time - (light goes off at 10pm and gets back at 8am which could also be a good point since it's a...
