My family of five--husband and three children and me--stayed both at the Wasai lodge in the jungle at Tambopata National Research and in Puerto Maldonado. The former was very clean and well kept; our experience with the latter was less pleasant; at Puerto Maldonado our room was not clean and had an odd smell and was very hot. But at...

We did the the Adventure Tour through Wasai and it was an amazing experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The whole atmosphere of the Tambopata lodge was warm and inviting. Every activity we did, whether it was the Peruvian tree climb, camping out in the jungle, ziplining, kayaking or the night hike allowed us to see all the...

My friend and I did the 4 day/3 night package at the Tambopata Eco Lodge. My luggage was lost on the flight to Puerto Maldonado, but the Wasai staff was SO helpful with helping me retrieve it. We took a 3.5 hour boat ride up river to the lodge... and the views were absolutely incredible. We got to see caymans,...

I travelled with my 2 boys (8 and 16) and my mum. We had a fabulous guide, Christian, who knew so much about the ecology and wildlife. Our 4 day / 3 night trip was cut a little short by the plane delay due to rain, however from arrival at Puerto Maldonado we were really well looked after. A quick...

The situation of the lodge is just awesome, in the middle of the rain forest. The service was very good, and the activities were all just amazing (night walk, clay lick, swimming, fishing, caiman search and Sandoval lake). Our guide Edson was a fun, responsible and VERY knowledgable guy, and his explanations and instructions were just perfect and made this...

Our Lone Rock Middle School group from Stevensville, MT USA stayed for 2 short days at the Wasai Tambopata Lodge this June. We had an absolute blast, from the night walk our first night to swimming in and playing otter on the banks of El Gato Creek. We had great guides, Edson and Guillermo who were both knowledgeable and helpful...

My wife and I went in Feb. during the rainy season, we were a little worried that the non-stop rain and flooding in the jungle would limit the number of activities we would be able to do but that wasn't the case. It was actually nice because it was just us and 2 other couples there the first night and...

We did the 4D/3N Roadtrip adventure in a group of four adults (two couples, ages 26-28). Unfortunately it rained a lot, so we weren't able to do the roadtrip part and we ended up taking the boat to the lodge like everybody else. Our experience was fantastic - our tour guide, Guillermo (Chemo), was incredible. He's extremely knowledgeable about the...

Great staff and they took care of us very well. The food was excellent !!! The rooms were not well sealed from the outside. Fortunately there were very few mosquitoes, and we did have a mosquito net. The bathroom definitely needs a floor mat. With a high shower curtain the floor can get real messy. Also, there is no warm...
