First off, if you get the opportunity, go to the Amazon. It’s an incredible experience. I am so glad I included this in my itinerary. If you do go, book your reservation with Rainforest Expeditions who operates the Posada Amazonas Lodge in addition to two others. They do an awesome job guiding, feeding and providing an all around good time....

We had a fabulous time staying here - we just wish we'd been able to stay longer! The staff were great, the food was good and the setting fabulous! We had been elsewhere in Peru and the change in climate did come as a shock to the system so my recommendation is to take lots of changes of clothes as...

I will never ever forget my trip here, simply magical and awe inspiring. Excellent guides, excellent facilities. Just incredible! Saw caymen crocodiles, caught a piranah fish, climbed a tower to look over the canopy of the rainforest and felt immersed in the wonders of the Amazon. A very special place.

Posada Amazonas is a dream that came true. It is truly Heaven on Earth. We spent 3 days at this rain forest and we enjoyed every moment. We had an excellent guide and his name is Luis and he is well informed . He also took good care of us. Every one should make this a pilgrimage at least once...

If you truly want to make the most of your stay here you have to expect to be up early (4.30am), cope with a lot of walking (steps up from the river; the trails are relatively flat) and keep your eyes pealed for the various animals. We loved every minute - the highlight of the children's 3 weeks in Peru....

Thanks for reviewing Posada Amazonas! We are glad you enjoyed the trip with your family to the Peruvian Amazon. Your tips about what to bring are very useful for future visitors. We provide rubber boots for the trails, but flashlight, poncho, suncream, repellent are all important for your rainforest trip. In case you forgot any of them, you can also...

I stayed at the Posada Amazonas for 4 days, 3 nights and it was a lifetime experience. The rooms were spacious and were built to give you the maximum feeling of being one with nature...For a city girl like me, the first night was "terrifying" listening to the wild calls of the jungle, but by the last night I was...

First impressions count for a lot, and after a sweltering walk through the jungle to the lodge being greeted by fresh juice, cold towels and hammocks couldn't have been a better one. We even saw monkeys in the trees as we walked to breakfast! Seriously what more can you ask for! The lack of electricity made the whole stay even...

Our stay at this charming property was to short at only 2 nights... definitely could have stayed another night or two. We loved our guide Luis M. who took good care of us and kept us safe. My favorite part; waking up to the sounds of the forest coming alive... many different bird, insect and monkey sounds revving up into...

What a great experience. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. The rooms are not luxury but if they were this would ruin the feel. We saw birds and monkeys from our room out of the massive open wall. Our guide Luis P was amazing. Everything was very well explained and his stories about growing up in the jungle showed...
