If you're looking for a small hotel with plenty of charm, lots of history and great food then you won't do better than this. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service friendly. Rooms are large (by French standards) and full of the character that epitomises this old abbey. Dinner was a set menu at around 46 Euro, with each...

A year ago, we decided to renew our vows, but wanted to do so in France with a few friends and family. By chance, Katie Lawton answered my email... She was lovely - we jumped in, blind faith! Katie organized everything for us, was helpful and attentive to details. We had never visited before THE day, arrived and were just...

We were invited for a small family wedding. The family rented the entire Abbaye. The 1.5 drive from Toulousse was easy and very scenic. The moment we arrived at the Abbaye we felt like we were in a truly magical place. We have stayed in some beautiful hotels around the wonderful and this one was my favourite. L' Abbaye is...

As frequent returners to this amazing place (we simply cannot keep away for long without intense withdrawal symptoms), we were thrilled that the idea of a group visit for a long weekend house party came to fruition with such universal acclaim. Katie and Peter were as ever the ideal hosts, with their unique blend of charm and discreet attention to...

It's the fifth time we have dined there and we have always been delighted with the service the quality of the food and the recommendations of local wines. It's family run but that takes nothing away from making it an enjoyable evening. Would recommend it for a couple or a bigger group. We haven't stayed the night so the review...

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Abbaye Chateau de Camon. Firstly, the village must rate as the most beautiful I've seen in France, full of roses outside each door place. Secondly, the Abbaye is a stunningly restored masterpiece with original and listed tapestries in most rooms. Thirdly, our hosts Katie and Peter (fluent in both English and...

My husband and I got married at the chateau in July 2015. From the moment we stepped foot inside the chateau we knew it was the perfect wedding venue for us. The chateau has such a special feel about it and it's probably the most romantic location and building you will ever find. From start to finish Katie and Peter...

We was recommended this great old place from the 12 century during the reign of the monks and now a fine Reles de Chateaux Hotel. The rooms are a bit Rococo style, we had the white and blue coloured ones.I had enjoyed looking out of the window at anytime of the day with the mountains in the background. The restaurant, good...

My friend and I recently stayed at L'Abbaye Chateau de Camon for one night while travelling through the Southwest of France. We decided to detour from Montpelier in spite of the fact that the Chateau only could accommodate us for one night during our vacation as it had been highly recommended by an acquaintance. We were very glad that we...
