There was no available wifi. When they mean there is wifi free in public places they mean the wifi from the village, which is reachable only if you are out at the street. Very good breakfast, clean hotel, expensive if you stay there summer. Friendly stuff but they don't speak English.

We stayed for 3 nights for Europa Park which is 5 mins walk from the hotel.

A great find, so clean and great attention to detail. Loved the breakfast! Comfortable beds! Clean towels daily! Great mezzanine floor for the children to sleep.

The only thing I would suggest is 'tea and coffee' making facilities in the room - could have benefited from that.
Otherwise, can highly recommend this to stay.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Arndt Hotel - the staff were extremely friendly, the hotel was spotless and breakfast was very nice, good variety. The only downsides were that there is no reception at certain times of the day so you have to arrive in the morning and there is NO WIFI in the hotel (they give you a user name/password which you can use in the town).

Would definitely stay again, easy walk to the park and nice restaurants around the hotel.

Very old rooms at a overpriced rate - due to Europa park. Nothing fancy about the hotel at all. I would never come back to this place if it wasn't for the park. I would say the hotel is close to a typical German hotel just times three in terms of price.

Wifi is very - very bad. Only works at entrance of the hotels.

We loved this hotel! Our room was exactly as shown on the hotel website. We had a duplex with the children's beds up a wooden set of stairs. They were a bit steep, but kids were fine. The beds were very comfortable and the room & bathroom spotless.Breakfast was excellent - a range of cereal, yogurt, cheese, bread, etc & eggs. There was also a great coffee machine (think it actually ground the beans too).

We drove to Rust after a ferry trip to Calais, so it was also nice that the car could be kept safely ( & for free) in the garage. We walked to and from the park everyday. We were also able to buy 2 day Europa park tickets from reception which meant we didn't have to queue for them at the park. Must also mention the owners of the hotel who made us feel very welcome. Overall a very enjoyable stay - would definitely use this hotel again.

We stayed for 3 days. The hotel is small (11 rooms) and brand new but has everything you may need and looks very nice as well.

We had booked a room for 2 persons and we were given a room with 2 separate bedrooms (we were 2 men) at no extra cost.

We were also offered at no extra cost free wireless internet and a parking space in their garage.

Everyone was very pleasant and they tried to help on every way.

They do not accept credit cards but just accross the street there is a bank with an ATM.

When you book a room at this hotel (which I did, for my children and myself), they will send you an email warning you that reception closes at midday.

DO NOT IGNORE THIS.

We drove to Rust (for the Rulantica water park), got caught up in huge roadworks on the Autobahn, and, when we finally arrived at the entrance to Rulantica, it said we were still 2km from Hotel Arndt, so I decided to park in Rulantica for the day, check-in later, and, out of courtesy, I emailed the hotel to let them know.

Bad mistake.

If you don't check-in before midday, you will receive an email from them saying that you can no longer check-in. Game over. No refund, no nothing.

Again.... this WAS my fault, they HAD emailed me when I made my booking to say reception closed at midday, but in a multi-hotel trip as a single-father, this hadn't sunk in, and as a result, I paid 150 CHF for a hotel that we were not allowed to check in to. And no chance of a refund.

My kids were in tears.
And we had to drive back home instead.

You've been warned.

I still don't know why the hotel claims that it's a 5 minute walk from Rulantica, given that, according to Google Maps, even "as the crow flies", it's 1.2km from the entrance to the water-park. We actually parked in the Rulantica car park, and WE had to walk 5 minutes to get to the entrance.

This hotel totally deserves a “0” star rating, but unfortunately the lowest rating I can give them is a “1”. My wife and I travel thru ought Europe at least two weekends a month and this is by far the worst hotel we have stayed in. The staff and owner are as rude, unprofessional and discriminate as they get. The owner has a complete lack of understanding of service provider to customer relations. She will gladly take your money without any service being rendered. She is dishonest and treats customers like criminals. DO NOT STAY at this hotel. There are plenty of hotels in the area to choose from.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Arndt. The service was great, the location was perfect for visiting Europa Park and the room was large and comfortable. There was wifi to keep out kids occupied and plenty of outdoor space to relax. The 2nd floor terrasse was our favorite part of the hotel - it was a little oasis.
Parking was a bit of a hassle but we did find some down the street so it wasn't that big a deal.
If you are looking for a nice place to stay at a fair price, this is definitely worth checking out.
