I stayed in four hotels at Europa Park: Colosseo, El Andaluz and Bell Rock. The Santa Isabel I must admit is the best by far. The fact that it is not as big as the other hotels in the park is already a big plus. The staff, like all the Europa Park staff, are very nice and friendly. The hotel has superlative attention to detail: there is even a consecrated church/chapel. I found the reconstruction of the convent spectacular. The Deluxe room was perfect in line with what one would expect from a 4-star hotel. Breakfast, as always at Europa Park, was excellent with a wide choice. Also the dinner buffet was excellent and the choice very varied. Spa on the top floor very nice with a nice view of the park, I also enjoyed the pool on the ground floor. I will definitely return to this hotel.

My wife and our 2 kids stayed in Hotel Santa Isabel from 23 until 25 of August 2013. It was our 2nd stay in this really excellent, clean, well located and class hotel. The room are of high quality, specially the ones with pool view. We had room number 5201 (2nd floor), very quiet, in excellent condition, with separated bathroom and toilets, well really perfect.
The breakfast is also excellent, it is a buffet, located in 2 different places, so just be aware that when you enter the restaurant and turn left, there is a hot buffet on the right that you may not see !
We really appreciate this hotel and next year, we will again come back. Compared to other hotels in the park, I think it is the most expensive one, but with also less rooms, less people, nice heated swimming pool and spa.

So to resume :

Positive points :
---------------------
1) rooms are large, confortable and quiet.
2) Very good buffet at breakfast.
3) Restaurant is very clean, personnages of the park are frequently showing themselves.
4) Very close to the park.
5) Nice outdoor heated pool.
6) Spa of great quality.

Points to be improved :
-------------------------------
1) matress to sleep in are to soft !

Few more points : we were very disappointed by the smoking policy running actually inside Europa Park, as it is normally prohibited to smoke while queuing for an attraction but many people don't care and smoke. NOBODY from the staff of Europa Park is telling them anything !!! Of course, there are some clear signs "NO SMOKING" and public announcements reminding to people in the queue that smoking is not permitted, but generally nobody (smokers) care and continue or even start to smoke. As non smoker parent with my kids, I can not accept stinking and unhealthy cigaret smoke reaching face of my kids, therefore I'm reacting and often asking those people to stop to smoke. However, an unrespectful young german speaking smoker got my full left hand punch in the face after trying to humiliate, to provocate and trying to attack me after that I asked him kindly to refrain from smoking in the queue of Mir attraction, which he did not do ! Instead, he took a big breathing of smoke and put it directly to my face as a provocation, then he threw away his cigaret, aiming directly at me and touching directly my trouser, under my kids eyes !!! After that I ran to him, his head was then immediately and heavily shaken by myself and hit in full face after having tried to hit me. Europa Park staff stopped him and his 3 friends a little bit later and after explanations, he was kicked out of the queue and his daily pass was taken away from him. This guy got a real life lesson that day...
Furthermore, people are smoking inside restaurant or bar, smoke again coming directly towards non smoker and their kids, it is just not acceptable.

I URGENTLY ASK EUROPA PARK MANAGEMENT TO INSTALL AND TO CONTROL A NON SMOKING POLICY IN WHOLE EUROPA PARK, OR MORE FIGHTS BETWEEN RESPECTFUL NON SMOKERS AND UNRESPECTFUL SMOKERS WILL TAKE PLACE !!!

My wife, my daughter (12), my son (6) and myself spent 3 days/2 nights in Europa Park in August 2012. It was our third stay in Europa Park, but the first one in Hotel Santa Isabel. Before, we were used to stay in Hotel Castillo Alcazar. We can now say for sure that Hotel Santa Isabel is simply the best Hotel resort of Europa Park and we will for sure come back to this one during our next trip.
We got the room number 5316 on 3rd floor, but unfortunately without view on the park ...
The food choice during breakfast in restaurant Sala Santa Isabel is excellent, with a lot of fresh products and drinks, furthermore funny Europa Park Mouse personnage or his friends are coming every morning to great the kids, they are always very friendly and accept any photos you want to do with them.

So to resume our stay and this Hotel :

Positive points :
--------------------
1) Location is excellent as only 2-3 minutes to walk by foot to the park entrance.
2) Free covered parking available.
3) Clean, quite and nice rooms, even if room 5316 was smaller than room 5317...
4) Outdoor pool is at 28 degrees Celcius and all pool changing rooms, showers, toilets, lockers are just in perfect conditions.
5) Very few rooms inside this Hotel (a little bit more than 60 I guess), meaning that it should not be overcrowded.

Points to be improved :
-----------------------------
1) Only 1 staff was present at the reception during most of the time, which means that you may queue if someone else is already at the reception (it happened 2-3 times...).
2) You need to ask for pool towels at the reception and most probably queue if only 1 staff and other people are already at the reception...
3) At the pool there was no more shampoo inside both showers at the end of the day...
4) The mattress of our room was to much soft !
5) There is neither a fridge nor a minibar in room !!!
6) Some Hotel guests were smoking cigars and cigarets inside both bars of Hotel Castillo Alcazar, these are closed places and smoking should be STRICTLY PROHIBITED as our kids also want to enjoy a drink without smoking people all around !!!

Well that's it ! I will soon add some photos to my review, so you will get a clear idea of how it really looks like.

We will definitively come back in 2013 in this Hotel ;-).

The hotel was pleasant and looks nice (although a strange theme).

We had a great 2 nights sleep, until the Saturday evening when the hotel had a wedding on. We were on 1st floor and the music was so loud, we could hear every song clearly in our room.

When I complained at reception at 11.15pm, I was told that it should stop at 12pm, which was only 45 minutes longer for us to wait!! The music went on and we didn't get to sleep until 1am (including our 2 young children)!

Sadly, this messed up getting up early to make the most of the early hour in the theme park! The hotel did give us a discount for that night on request, but I would have preferred the sleep.

There was also an event on the Sunday night, which we could hear in our room. (We managed to sleep through this as it wasn't loud music).

I would only recommend staying in this hotel if you could request a room higher up from the 1st floor and away from events.

The room was really nice. Great for 4 people (kids basically get a bunk bed enclosed with wardrobe doors) which they thought was amazing. If you didn't have cleaning the next day, then you could save some money, which was pretty cool.

Europa park is lots of fun...

I booked 5 rooms at this hotel online for my family. I emailed them with a few requests (all rooms to be on the same floor, connecting rooms, etc.)

When i arrived at the hotel, the check-in procedures was so quick and smooth. The rooms were as requested and were very unique, and it took us awhile to discover everything in the room, and the hotel.
+++
Clean rooms
very quite hotel, although its right at the entrance to the park
Great room service
Really good SPA
amazing views to Europa Park
Breakfast, a wide selection
Great for families or couples
All the hotel has AC, which is a plus compared to the other hotels in the area.

Highly recommended. Would return!

Santa Isabel is the newest, smallest, quietest and most luxurious Europapark hotel. It only costs a few € more than the other three hotels so it’s the obvious choice for us. They try to discourage noisy youths from staying here, in particular by very short bunk beds and by offering a dinner buffet for 38 €, 50% more than at their other hotels.

We were very satisfied with the regular room we had in 2008. In 2009, we splurged on a themed room which their sales agent described as larger and more luxurious. Well, kind of. The room was exactly the same size as the regular one, just the tiny 2 sqm balcony was additional. Equipment was mostly identical, too. Differences were minibar, safe, toiletries (not replaced during stay) and preserved flowers. The Africa theme of the room was rather lame: walls, curtains and cushions with animal prints, that was it. Price for themed rooms is at least 70 € more than for standard. Themed rooms and suites are on the 4th floor but there is nothing exclusive at this floor either except for the limited access by key card. No dining or park privileges, no turndown service, no club lounge, no slippers, bathrobes or fluffier towels, no fruit basket, no welcome drink, no newspaper, no coffeemaker.

The kids just love the bunk beds which are basically a cupboard. So when it’s time to sleep for the little ones, you just close the wooden doors. The upper bunk even has a window and both bunks have a small opening / shutter towards the TV. TV has plenty of programs for all ages in many languages. Further favorites are Euromouse & friends visiting the breakfast venue and the outdoor pool, heated to 28°C.

Front desk service is excellent. Staff at the buffet restaurant is friendly, too but could be a bit faster in clearing used plates. Both breakfast and dinner buffets are great in both choice and quality. Dinner buffet has many premium items not normally found on buffets, Pata Negra for instance or an excellent cheese board. The chef (a real one, not just an unskilled helper) prepares hot dishes to order in the show kitchen.

One final note: As is the trend today, Europapark is riding the ecology wave and proudly presents a reward from the state government. And reality? They have just built another garage – free parking for resort guests. What do they offer for guests arriving by public transport? They offer a shuttle to Ringsheim station which costs 40% more than a taxi. There is also an infrequent but reliable public bus service to the station. Europapark has not even built shelters at their bus stops. Oh dear.

Full score = 5 points for the standard room, 4 points for the themed room - poor upgrade value.

My favorite hotel in Europapark if you don’t have kids and want to enjoy something specials. The hotel is compared to the rest of the hotels smaller and intimate and perfect if you want to enjoy a romantic stay. If you are lucky you have a room with parkview and in the summer it is so wonderful to see the sunset with the park just meters away. The hotels are expensive, but it’s definitely worth it!

My family and i (2 adults and 2 kids of 14 and 8 years old) spent for the 3rd time 3 days/2 nights in Hotel Santa Isabel, because it is simply the best hotel of the park ! It was our 5th stay in Europa Park and unfortunately, we were again facing the same major problem of smoking people, not respecting the "NO SMOKING" signs inside the waiting areas for the attraction, which is really a major concern for the health of our kids and for our own health !!! It is written on every Park map following : "Your health is important to us ! Please note that smoking is prohibited in all waiting areas for the attractions. We ask you for your adherence". Many smokers DO NOT ADHERE and smoke, without that any staff of the park is telling them not to do so, it's absolute freedom to smoke where ever you want as I never saw any smoker being taken out of a queue, expect last year when I had to fight with one of them who was attacking me after a polite remark concerning his smoke going to my kids inside the queue of MIR attraction.
Well, about the excellent Santa Isabel Hotel, we got a large room on 3rd floor, number 5302, with full view on the pool side. Everything inside the hotel and the park is very clean and in excellent conditions, only smokers are not respecting the rules, throwing on the floor their cigarets...

So, to resume our stay, I will say that :

Positives points:
----------------------
1) Very quite hotel and room, the smaller one but the least disturbance also.
2) Breakfast is excellent with warm dishes, cold buffet, very good and friendly service.
3) Clean hotel and area around.
4) Free parking, covered, for your car.
5) Rooms are really good, with large shower, separate toilet, and space for 4 persons.

Points to be improved :
-------------------------------
1) NO SMOKING POLICY inside the bars in the evening should be a must !!!
2) Security agents inside the park reacting when people are smoking inside the queues should be used !!!
3) At the reception, sometimes only 1 staff is available, lost of time for the clients, waiting to be served...
4) No safe inside the room.
5) No minibar inside the room.
6) No free water bottle inside the room.
7) Shampoo inside our shower was empty on our 2nd day, but was not changed.

Well, that's it. So, if you are a smoker, please kindly refrain from smoking when you are in a queue, waiting for an attraction, as smoking kills and we do not want to die younger because of your addiction...

P.S. We had major smoking problems while queuing on following atractions : Silver Star (worst smoking attitude !), Euro-Mir, Matterhorn-Blitz, Eurosat, Poseidon and thousand of smoking people inside the park, giving bad smell and smoke on many places, not nice at all...

It was our second stay in one year in the EuropaPark and since we've never been to this hotel, we wanted to try it. Unfortunately the weather was not so good which however made us make more use of the spa facilities of the hotel. And: we enjoyed it very much! On the top floor of the hotel there's a large sauna with different showers and a great relaxation room. Furthermore, you can book a massage treatment directly at the front desk. The hotel has its own restaurant were you can have a buffet dinner. During warmer periods, you can be seated outside which makes a perfect evening. The staff is typical for Germany: friendly, efficient and very helpful. Definitely worth the money, although a bit expensive.

My wife, our 2 kids (17 and 11 years old) spent our 6th stay in Hotel Santa Isabel, Europa Park. We booked the room number 5301, 3rd floor, with pool view. It is always a great surprise to see how the general condition of the hotel is excellent, how it is clean and how the staff are friendly and helpful. All is done to make the client satisfied ! Furthermore, they improve every year a little bit more, for example, now they provided a safe in the room, room service and bottle of water, which was not the case during our previous stay as far as I remember. This hotel is really the quietest of the Park, which is a good way to relax after a long day. However, the food choice during breakfast and dinner can be considered as limited compared to Bell Rock Hotel or other hotel where we had dinner. One bad point regarding Europa Park is always coming back unfortunately : SMOKERS !!! In despite of all efforts made by Europa Park Management (write no smoking on all map resorts, put stickers no smoking in the queue area, make voice announcement in 3 languages asking not to smoke), there are always total irrespectful smokers who will light up their cigarets, while in the queue, disturbing all non smokers around, nobody saying anything in order to avoid problems, remaks or even fight ! From 20-23rd of August 2017, I personally saw smokers in queue of Silver Star, MIR, Blue Fire and Arthur Minimoys. On this last attraction, I shouted at a smoker "NO SMOKING !!!" and he laughed at me, taking a big breath in his cigaret, not caring at all about the no smoking sign. What is doing Europa Park against this attitude and behaviour ? Nothing as far as I could see...

So, to resume our stay :

Positive Points :
---------------------
1) Hotel Santa Isabel is very clean, in perfect condition, great staff attitude.
2) Pool is warmed and showers are really working well.
3) Very nice decoration.
4) Free parking.
5) Safe, water, room service as new services provided.

Points to be aware of :
------------------------------
1) Buffet is limited in quantity and choices available, compared to other bigger hotels of the Park.
2) Towels for the pool are only available from the reception.
3) This time, we did not see any personnage inside the restaurant at breakfast...
4) The pool can be quite fully crowded around 16:00 - 17:00.
5) Park was even more full on week days than on Sunday, we could not believe it !!!

Well, that's all for this time. We will be back, once more, hopping that the smokers problem could be solved one day, by totally prohibiting smoking inside the Park, to protect health of younger and non smoker clients...
