A peaceful resting spot on the hill out of Anacapri - comfortable rooms, a generous breakfast, a spectacular balcony overlooking the town and across the Bay of Naples. Lovely warm family hospitality - including runs down the hill to the bus stop. All the other reviews are right - no taxi driver is going to take you up here - but the family will happily run you up and down to the square. Still the walk back - four hundred steps up by my reckoning - is a great way to pay for the excesses of dinner. And take the gondola one way to the top of Mount Solano - it is a spectacular walk back down, taking you right past the B&B at the end. Compared to the seething crowds in Capri - Anacapri is full of peace, beauty and charm.

You know where you need to go to get the views - you need to go up, and Monte Solaro is definitely up. You get a message from the owners when you book telling you to get the bus to Piazza Della pace and then ring up and they will come and get you, and this is what you need to do, either that or get a taxi to the door, because you will not make it up the hill with a suitcase. It’s only 400 metres from town, but 300 of them are straight up. When you finally get up the steps to the bar area though it is all worth it for the fabulous views over Anacapri. The place is run by 3 brothers, who speak good English, together with their parents who speak none. The rooms all face the terrace, which is also where reception/ breakfast area is. WE stayed at Monte Solaro in May this year (2018) for my friends wedding and loved every second of it! I really couldn't recommend this B&B enough , Costanzo and his family are very good hosts , warm , friendly , welcoming and most helpful . The accommodation is beautiful with lovely clean rooms which have enough space and excellent showers and air conditioning . The views are spectacularly beautiful and watching the sun go down in the evenings is really special , one of those memories which will stay with you forever. Never having been here before we were pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous the place is , with friendly locals , a laid back vibe and magical scenery, it ticks all the boxes for us. We are hoping to go back and enjoy even more of the island and all it has to offer…

We came back here for our wedding, this was our 6th return visit to this B&B and it feels very much like going home, Costanzo and the whole family contributed so much to make our wedding day so very special. We were a small group of 11 people and booked out 4 of the five rooms with some guests staying near-by. We stayed 4 nights and had our wedding ceremony at the local Registry Office in Anacapri, and the wedding dinner and reception at the B&B. This was all organised by Costanzo and his family, We had our dinner on the top balcony which is custom made for such an event, we danced as the sun set over the horizon and it was so perfect, all our guests were blown away with the venue and the family's warmth and hospitality. It’s our 2nd trip to Anacapri- utopia! Monte Solaro B & B made it feel like we were living in utopia for 4 days. Costanzo is amazing, a great host, & this place has great ambience. We’ll be back next time we visit!

We experienced a wonderful, friendly reception. Spectacular one of a kind setting high above town. Great hospitality, nice rooms. We stayef for one night but this was not enough. Have to visit again soon.

Very kind man Costanzo helped a lot and his papa was so nice. I really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. You need to walk up to the top of mountain but it's worth. アナカプリのバス停から急な坂道を約10分登ると、美しい景色が広がるホテルに到着。オーナーのコスタンツォは親切て英語はパーフェクト。パパがまた優しい笑顔でいい！夏にまた泊まりたいなぁ。

Going on foot will offer you much better views than the top itself. I went from Marina Grande to Capri (15 min on stairs) and than to the roundabout near the hospital, up and up into the forest, thera are some rocks but it is not much difficult to hike it. Then the first views will open only for you. I made it from Capri in one hour and some minutes...

This B&B was an spectacular surprise on a hectic trip. Costanzo, the owner, was a great host, picking us up from the bus stop and bringing us and our bags back down at the end of our stay. The view from the porch, just steps from our room, was breathtaking. The ability to take a moment and relax and recharge was a much needed relief. Anacapri is a charming village on the island of Capri. We enjoyed walking the streets and discovering the local life. (Locals asked if we were staying in Anacapri."Si!" we answered. I pointed up. "Ahhh! Monte Solaro! Costanzo!") While the place can be overrun by tourists and group tours, Anacapri is still a small town with lots to do and see. This B&B has to be the best on the island. Everyone is so helpful and friendly with nothing too much trouble. The rooms are so clean and the views are the best on the whole island overlooking Anacapri. The sunsets will have you taking hundreds of pictures.
