I stayed at the Parador last year for one night while walking the camino. Back again this year and stayed two nights. Everything was as good as I had found on my first visit, both the bedroom and breakfast. This time my wife and I had an evening meal which was excellent. However, although we only had two glasses of...

There was a very large party the evening we stayed. We love to see people enjoy themselves. However, unfortunately the room above us were extremely noisy till the early hours of the morning. Hence we didn't have a good nights sleep and did not feel fresh for our drive the next day.mwe told reception and asked to speak to the...

This is a pleasant hotel with a great location, just 10 minutes' walk from the cathedral and the bridge into Portugal, and with majestic views of the river. The welcome and staff services were all good. Our room was comfortable enough, though maybe not quite the standard you'd expect at the price. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant....

this is one of the simpler paradores but very nice. The room had a small terras with plenty of privacy and During our stay there where not many visitors so we had the lovely pool almost by ourselves. The terras gives a nice vue on Tui or Portugal

The hotel itself is not as impressive as most parador hotels but it has some excellent upsides firstly is location an easy walk into old town Tui or into Valenca in Portugal both only 15 mins. The best bit about this hotel was the pool it was large with a large garden surrounding it with plenty of trees for shade....

Frequent European travelers know that unscrupulous hotels like this one (not to mention car rental agencies and restaurants) get major revenues from furnishing a “service” to their international clients, whereby they convert the bill from local currency into the client’s (dynamic currency conversion), not revealing that they will pocket a huge commission for doing what the credit card company would...

Impressions: The outside looked inviting, there was a covered area to put the car when unloading and there was plenty of garden space. Internally there was a great amount of wood with chestnut wood floors (I am told). Apparently it is a typical Galician Manor House converted to a hotel. Reception: The receptionist was welcoming and helpful. After a quick...

The Parador is located outside the old town with wonderful views across the river to Portugal. Parking is available and is more than adequate We ate outside and enjoyed the views of the floodlighted Cathedral. The food from the grill was excellent together with some of the local wines. Breakfast is, as in all Paradors, of a pretty high standard....

This hotel is beautiful, no doubt, in a nice location overlooking the river. But the niceness ended there. The staff at the front desk were attentive and polite but were extraordinarily unable to help us with simple directions and suggestions for things in town. The restaurant was HORRIBLE and the restaurant staff were BEYOND horrible. We stood at the entrance...

We had a terrible experience here – so overpriced compared to other options. Terrible location – stay in the village, old town. Room smelled musty, dinner was so terrible we didn't eat it. If this was ever nice -it's not anymore. Maybe it would seem like heaven after days of walking the Camino...
