I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Room. The people at the reception are very friendly, especially the lady working there. She helped me organise a trip to la isla de ons (which I also recommend!) because my Spanish wasn't good enough to get through the website. Her English is great and clear. The reception and room were very clean, but basic. The location is great because it is nearby the train and bus station, but also close to the cultural and old town of Pontevedra.
Clean and comfortable, good size rooms, good location just off the Camino. Would recommend as a stop of doing the Camino as it is good value. Breakfast was simple but typical for the region - watch out for the breakfast women she doesn't allow any fruit to walk out the door!
This hotel exceeded my expectations. It is a 15 min walk into town, along the main shopping street, much of which is pedestrianised. The reception staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, as is the area. Rooms are all away from the street, and are modest in size. Breakfast is an extra €6 and is exceptional value, although the breakfast room itself has only artificial light. There is street parking nearby, although space is not easy to find. I didn't dare risk my rented car in the underground garage, for which you have to pay. Improvements? The hotel could usefully put felt pad on the legs of the stools and chairs in the room, as the movement of these echoed. Many doors were difficult to open/close, which meant many were slammed......this shouldn't be difficult to fix. This is a hotel which does a huge amount to help travellers. Really good value for money and recommended. …
The garage was a bit of a trial, we had trouble getting in and out with motorcycles, especially as we went down the wrong opening and couldn't turn round to get out again. The hotel was comfortable, clean and the breakfasts were good. The rooms were a bit noisy, not sure if we just happened to have noisy neighbours or if the soundproofing is a problem. We were a little bit out of the town centre, but it was within walking distance.
Great location if walking the Camino de Santiago. Staff were extremely helpful and the room was very clean and well appointed with comfortable bedding. I would certainly recommend as I felt it was great value for money.
