These beachfront properties do what they say on the tin, with good space and decorations. There's no doubt they provide high quality accommodation, but the downside is a whacking £140 000 for ONE WEEK in July for 40 years. If you have money to waste, go ahead, but you can get a lot of holiday for £3500 for a week...

We have just stayed for 1 week at The Flying Boat House Cottages on Tresco and can't praise it enough. It is simply stunning. We have never stayed in The Scilly Isles before and although it was February we had a fantastic time. The weather was brilliant and we managed onto the beach 4 out of 7 days and never...

We stayed at a house called Colossus and it was really superb. Beautifully kitted out, immaculately clean and very spacious. The views are simply stunning and the large terrace with ample seating and BBQ was ideal for watching the sunsets. The island office organised all of our flights and transport and everything was carried out very efficiently. The staff on the...

The new addition of a book- able fish and chip supper after the Traditional Tuesday evening drinks reception, is to be highly recommended. A good choice ( including scallops in light batter and cooked oysters) of fish - all beautifully cooked and presented and at a reasonable price. Maybe the FBC should consider offering this more than once a week...

We are timesharers on Tresco and we attend a reception in the Clubhouse on Tuesday evening which is always a very congenial affair. After the reception they offer "posh fish 'n' chips " upstairs in the restaurant. This was very good - well cooked and presented, tasty and inclusive. I use this word because their regular menu has "sides." In...

I had planned for take lunch, but only stayed for a glass of wine.No draught beer or local brew! Did not fancy being the only customer! Lovely place though and should be really great when busy. Maybe next time?

Lunch here was fantastic and unexpected as we stumbled upon the restaurant while visiting Tresco for the day. Simple bu fresh and well-priced meals in a great location, surrounded by amazing art - relaxed dining doesn't get any better.

I love Tresco. But you wouldn't like it. Honestly. It's beautiful - if you like that sort of thing. Peaceful - might be too quiet for you. When it's sunny, the sea is every colour from pale blue to violet - but that may be too much for you. The Abbey Gardens are sub-tropical and full of wonderful species -...

The Flying Boat Club had a shaky start but then improved immensely and it has been a favourite place for family or friends celebrations as well as coffee, lunch and dinner. The location is hard to beat, especially when one can sit outside on the comfortable garden furniture on a lovely sunny day, but the indoor seating and ambience are...
