There are 4 chalets, separated by garden, so visually private but you can hear your neighbors a little bit. We were lucky enough to have some teenagers who strummed their guitars... You have to walk up stairs and a gravel path to the chalets, so wear your flats! It's a pretty easy walk into town, which is great for eating...

We only stayed one night passing through on the way back to Sydney. Cabins are lovingly crafted from wood, with gorgeous detail. Certainly a world away from a standard caravan park cabin. You feel like you're getting a big nurturing hug when inside them. Located at the back of the town on a five hectare property, they're tucked away, peaceful,...

What an absolutely beautiful slice of paradise. What was a last minute decision turned into a long weekend we won't forget. The lovely town of Bellingen on your doorstep is perfect but you wouldn't know it from the peace & tranquility experienced when you're sitting on your private balcony watching the King parrots fly around the trees.

Hello Bello! Oh wow this place is beautiful. While I tend to lean towards the larger hotels and resorts this little gem is amazing. It's like my own little tree house with a little kitchen, TV, DVDs everything. I love to get out and about to eat and drink so I discovered that I can walk to the restaurants and...

We discovered this little place after searching high and low for a reasonable place to stay to break a long drive, and stayed for two nights. There are only four cabins, and I have to say that the pic on their website is a tad misleading - the pic makes it look like the cabins are made of a golden...

We stopped at Koompartoo on our way from Port MacQuarrie to Coffs Harbour and stayed in one of four wood-built chalets in an extensive rain forest garden. Our chalet was very well equipped, very comfortable and private. There was WiFi near the proprietor's (Erika, ever helpful) office . There were eateries and shops in the very small country town of...

This place is only 900 metres from town but you would never no it as it is set in secluded rainforest retreat. The cabines have all you need- they are small but every detailhas been thought of by Erica. A welcome retreat.

We did not overly enjoy our stay here. The rooms consist of 4 x chalets in a rainforest setting. Access to each chalet is quite difficult (consisting of a uneven gravel path or a series of many steps). Car parking is located at some distance to the chalet. This property may therefore not be suited to >60 travellers. Upon arrival,...

A family of four, we spent one night at Koompartoo Retreat, whilst visiting Dorrigo National Park. It's a really special place to stay, with four chalets hidden in a beautiful rainforest setting. The chalets have lovely balconies overlooking the trees and are very nicely decorated, with interesting linen and glassware. Our chalet had a bunk bed for the kids, in...

We stayed 2 nights in the beautiful cabins at Koompartoo Retreat. The cabins are very comfy and are superbly located in a rainforest area but still walking distance to Bellingen. Erika is a wonderful host. It is very peaceful and serene and you wake to the beautiful birdsong each morning.

Thank Ros M
