Incredible hidden valley experience :) highly recommend staying more than 1 night to reap the benefits of going on bush walks, through to the water holes, outdoor spa and treetop bath. The owners are so welcoming, helpful and thoughtful. We didn't want to leave and would go back in a heartbeat!!

Our stay in Wairua Lodge was unforgettable. Either if you are looking for a place to chill and disconnect from the rest of the world or you're looking for nice walks around the Coromandel Peninsula, this is a perfect place to stay. Tam and Charles are formidable hosts in all senses. Kind, very helpful and with great advices and recommendations...

Lovely grounds, gardens, nooks... an entire estate of relaxation and beauty. Then add a private hot tub under the stars and/or a very private, deep bath overlooking the native forest and stream. Finally, a wonderful breakfast that you can eat on your terrace or one of several lovely locations around the property. And for the more adventurous or young at...

Wairura Lodge is in a secluded valley surrounded by nature. It's quiet with enough garden space to relax even when there are other guests. We enjoyed the on-site hike (not for beginners), the forrest bath, the on-site kitchen with outdoor grill and the general ambiance. One note is that it's non-trivial to drive in and out, especially at night, so...

Karl: "my daughter booked us in for two nights after she loved her stay back in 2011. I'm not sure if it was looked after better then but it wasn't our cup of tea. It's rather dark and more of a location for adventurers who want to be left to their own in a remote location. Other guest didn't engage...

What a fantastically beautiful place to stay and coupled with the wonderful hosts Tam and Charles we had the most magical weekend away - didn't want it to end. Thanks so much for the lovely time and we will see you again soon. Loved the bush walks, swims and glow worm spotting!

Beautiful lodge in the middle of nature. Comfortable lodge rooms, great views, great for relaxing, and a little adventure. It feels completely remote but in the area there is a lot to do. Lovely owners with good tips for making the coromandel unforgettable.

We stayed at Wairua Lodge in early December and were lucky enough to have most of the place to ourselves. Although we only stayed for one night, there was plenty to keep us entertained - little tramps (and big ones too) up the hill, river crossings, and swimming holes (bring your togs!). Our highlight of the trip, however, was unwinding...

We had 2 nights here and wished our itinerary allowed us more time. This amazing little lodge is 15 minutes out of town and set in the rainforest. Hosts Charles and Tam welcomed us and made us feel at home straight away. The units are self catered with continental breakfast supplied in your room, with cutlery, kettle and toaster. A...
