Fantastic kiwi campground - just as camping in NZ should be! Traditional bach like cabins, big campsites, and clean and tidy facilities, set in a quiet bush setting over the road from the beach and an easy 5 mins drive to town. Friendly staff, and a big thumbs up to Steve the Maintanance & Security Manager for looking after us...

Cozy little cabin with the feeling of old world NZ Bach feeling. It was clean and tidy with its own bathroom, kitchenette, couch and tv and outside furniture. Not flash, but just what we needed! It's not the Hilton, it's a traditional NZ camp ground and had a fabulous causal atmosphere and was set in lovely surroundings - just seconds...

we booked this campground as the others in Whitianga were full. I was quite concerned what it would be like after reading some of the reviews. We had a fantastic stay at this campground. Steve was great, extremely helpful and friendly. we arrived as two families, both with boats. He arranged adjoining sites and made sure we had somewhere to...

Hey, we booked for the weekend of the Summer Concert - Non powered camp site (Arrived Saturday 28/01/17, left Tuesday 31/01/17). Even after a little hiccup with our mates wanting to stay last minute - we still had a fantastic little break, making awesome memories and even made a few new friendships along the way.. We had such an amazing...

We camped here over Christmas for 3 nights. The communal area was good for meeting other people in the evenings and it was only a few minutes walk to a beautiful beach. Facilities were all good, had all the basics that we needed in the kitchen. Toilets and showers are reasonably clean- only issue we had was only being given...

A lot of it has been already said in the previous comments. We booked a self contained unit for four nights, paying $1000 all up. Booked in October from overseas, we wanted to stay over the New Years period in Whitianga. Unfortunately we didn't check the comments online. After few hours being in the unit, we realized that this is...

These guests came and saw me the night of their departure with complaints about their accommodation. I told them that if they had seen me at the time of checking in I could have dealt with any issues they had. I had no way of agreeing with them as they had already stayed 3 nights. Isnt that just common sense...

We arrived to the campground having arranged a cottage for the night. Upon check-in they had not received our reservation. Gave us a decent sized cottage with only 2 working light bulbs, none in the kitchen or the bathroom. Had to play roulette with them all night with oven mitts!! Dirty dishes from previous people in the room. Had to...

It is not clear from your ID when you stayed. I assume it is our unit 9 which is next to reception, which closes around 8pm. We do have a buzzer at reception for a staff member to respond to requests after hours, which can be unreliable the later the hour With 9 cabins in the campground we do rely...

We stayed in a fully self contained unit for 5 nights and it was perfect. To sit on the veranda with a cold beer as the sun slowly set, looking out at the bush clad hillside opposite is truly relaxing. Very friendly staff, very clean property. Lovely and peaceful. Even the ducks aren't too intrusive. Highly recommend stopping in and...
