My husband, 7-year old daughter and I stayed with Lee and John for two nights at the start of our North Island tour and loved it. Lee and John were great from the start, very welcoming and always managed to surprise us with thoughtful "extras" like age appropriate books, a nice wooden puzzle which our daughter loved and soft toys...

Thank you Travel- planner- Mum, we appreciate your generous comments especially as you are both widely travelled. As you know our place is not really set up for children so we were grateful for the way you accommodated the extra bed in your room. Ella was a delightful child and no trouble at all and we thoroughly enjoyed the company...

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Flaxhaven Lodge after spending Xmas with the rellies at Whangamata. We wanted to relax and enjoy this part of NZ where I had not been since I was a child. The b and b far surpassed what I had been expecting and we have seen a few, having been in the b...

Thank you C for your response which we received on New Year's Day! We were very encouraged by your comments both about the time you spent in our lovely immediate area and at Flaxhaven lodge especially as you both have run a succesful B and B in the past. We will look forward to your return next Summer.

The rooms (living area, bathroom and bedroom) were very comfortable and in a self contained building with its own private garden area. The gardens of the whole property are a delight and immaculate. The B&B is run by John and Lee and you could not find two more helpful and inviting people. They spend time with you when you arrive...

Flaxhaven Lodge was the first stop on our New Zealand trip. What a great first impression of the country and the people! John and Lee were waiting for us with a glass of wine and warm hospitality. The grounds and the gardens were immaculate and filled with flowers ( you could tell they had much experience in gardening). The lodging...

We spent 3 nights at the Flaxhaven Bed and Breakfast near Cook's Beach on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. Flaxhaven is exactly what we were looking for, located in a quiet setting but close to restaurants, beaches and local attractions. We stayed in the cottage adjacent to the main house, which had a sitting area, kitchenette, bedroom and bath, and our...

We stayed in a lovely cottage which was very clean and nicely furnished. Had a hot powerful shower, comfortable bed and some complimentary wine and beer in the fridge. Plus the home-made cookies were delicious, Lee even brought us some more fresh from the oven. John and Lee are excellent hosts, breakfast was great (and featured fruit from their stunning...

My wife and I stayed at Flaxhaven Lodge for one night while on our honeymoon. We had a lovely experience. The owners, John and Lee, are incredibly kind. They arranged our dinner reservation at the Eggsentric Cafe (recommended for good NZ fare) prior to our arrival, as we were coming from the U.S. and couldn't call ourselves. Upon our arrival,...

Great suite with roses round the door, with beautiful large garden to walk in. Friendly and helpful hosts who provided a lovely breakfast and booked us into a local restaurant (Eggcentric) which was well worth visiting. Access to quiet beach in loveley area. Also provided a spade so we could dig our own hole to take the waters on Hot...

This was the first B&B we stayed at during our month in NZ and Flaxhaven set the bar very high, indeed, for those that followed. Our hosts, John and Lee, were so gracious, with tea and cookies as soon as we arrived. The rooms were very nice - ours included a sitting room in addition to the bedroom. The furnishings...
