We stayed nearby on our trip to Lake Placid and decided to have dinner here on our last evening of our stay. What a great choice! The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent! Our meals came with dinner rolls and salad bar. Highly recommend!

Missed out this year (2015) since they were closed for Christmas Eve, but we've had very nice meals here on previous travels. I especially enjoyed the escargot appetizer. I like the cozy ambiance and never feel rushed through the meal. Looking forward to getting back here in the Spring of 2016.

We live in the area and enjoy going to the Wilderness Inn. I am surprised by the negative reviews. We have never had bad food or poor service. It is a quaint little Adirondack restaurant. I am probably the pickiest person when it comes to my food. There food has NEVER disappointed me. I have never stayed in any of...

My wife and I had decided that just prior to Christmas we would take a sabbatical. Although we live in Upstate New York, and are no stranger to snow, neither of us like it. So where did we go for a get-away-from-everything time out? Yup - Lake Placid, home of the 1932 and 1980 WINTER Olympics. OK, we're a couple...

We visited in March '14, stayed in the Cedar cabin, and were extremely pleased with the accommodations, quality and price. The cabin is small yet comfortable, cozy, with 2 beds - 1 queen, one full, and a comfortable futon in front of the fireplace. It also has a microwave, coffee maker and a refrigerator, and even a small breakfast nook...

Our friend Allison suggested we have dinner here. It wasn't far from Santa's Workshop and on the road back to Lake Placid. We chose to eat off the light menu. Everyone was happy with their choices. My wife and I had hot roast beef sandwiches. The service was good and the atmosphere is rustic and homey. A great time was...

“Cabins are seperate and many have fireplaces. very private and by far the best place to stay if you want to get to the mountain early.”
