My wife and I visit Banner Elk several times a year as we like the area. Decided to stay a couple of nights at this Inn as it looked so quaint. We stayed in the Elks Room (second floor in one of the cottages). Room was big, inviting, rustic in appearance but had all the comforts of home. Very comfortable...

Thank you for the review, Don. As the new innkeepers at the Azalea, we are making some changes and think breakfast should be a very important part of our focus. We are changing the breakfast to have several options for guests to choose from, including; - Full breakfast served in the dining area of the main house - In Room...

My boyfriend and I and wanted something close to the mountain but also in town and this B&B was perfect! It's close to everything you could possibly want to do in the area and the B&B itself wonderful. The owners are so helpful and so sweet (and Dexter, their dog is also adorable). Our room was so well decorated and...

What a fabulous find! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this B&B! Frank & Karen are absolutely wonderful people who made us feel incredibly welcome! The breakfast was so delicious that we even had to ask for a recipe! :) Do yourself a favor & book a stay at Azalea...

After reading some excellent reviews, I was looking forward to surprising my wife with mid-week get away. And the attractive offer of booking at the last minute to get the second night half off tempted me to choose Azalea. I called and spoke to Frank. We had what I thought was a cordial conversation, but he seemed to be talking...

Management response:

This review is almost completely accurate. I did tell the guest that it would be better if he booked elswhere because of the late arrival which we could not accomodate. He said he could be here by 9 which is past our ck. in time and we could not make other arrangements for a late check in. I am sorry...

We had a great experience. I would recommend Azalea to anyone who would like a nice place to stay at a reasonable rate. Frank and Karen were great hosts and accommodated all our needs and questions. The breakfast was great and we cannot wait to go back. We plan to visit every couple of months as time will allow.

My niece and I decided on a whim to have an overnight ski trip and headed out from Atlanta. After the slopes closed, we crossed our fingers and headed to town to find a nice place to stay. We spotted the Azalea Inn and tried our luck. We were warmly greeted by Karen and we were in a room shortly...

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Azalea Inn for our annual anniversary getaway. The Inn and the grounds are lovely. Frank and Karen were gracious hosts. Breakfast was delicious and filling, though with more emphasis on quality than quantity. (That is a plus in my book.) We stayed in the Ivy room, which was not large, but...

I stayed 3 nights for the Highland Games. First of all, let me say that the inn is in a great location for all the shops and restaurants in the village of Banner Elk. Also, it is very convenient to Grandfather Mountain. The food served at breakfast is quite nice. I stayed in the Magnolia room, which is on the...

Wife and need a night away from the home renovations so book Azalea Inn. The place was very charming. It met our standards for a quiet and relazing stay. I would caution though that the town of Banner Elk Fire department still use a town siren when they have a call. The siren woke us up at 2am. If anyone...

My husband and I stayed at the Azalea Inn for a romantic weekend getaway. The inn was very charming and well located across the street from the town center. We stayed in the Willow room which had its own porch and front entrance separate from the main inn. The room was very clean and the bed was great, but the...
