It was a good room for a fair price close to Sugar Mountain Ski resort. We only needed to stay one night and most places had a 2 night minimum. Lot of restaurants close by. We basically just crashed there after a day of skiing. Hot/cold breakfast was included and was a nice bonus.

My family and I stayed here on 1/9. It's less than five minutes to Sugar mountain which is why we stayed there. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were okay - flat screen TV, mini refrigerator and microwave - were all good. Carpet was old and worn, possibly due to the winter season....

From start to finish our experience was incredible. The front desk staff greeted us upon arrival and made sure that we were comfortable in our room. They asked if they can do anything for us. Mary, the person, that works in the restaurant in the mornings greeted us as well.. She asked her what we like and where we could...

Stayed here for a family ski trip to Beech Mountain. Hotel staff could not have been more patient and helpful answering numerous questions over the phone and upon arrival, regarding: weather, road conditions, ski resorts, restaurant recommendations, directions. Hotel was easy to find, super clean and breakfast had lots of choices: eggs, pancakes, yogurt, cold cereal, biscuits and gravy, sausage...

We planned a last minute weekend ski trip before Christmas and didn't want to spend astronomical rates for lodging. We knew from traveler pictures that this was a "motel" so our expectations were low. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised. The staff was super friendly; the lobby was typical of a mountain lodge with big comfy couches surrounding a big fireplace....

It is an Exterior Motel...didn't realize it before coming. Pictures on Web never showed. Beds sleep horrible. Room was $166/night and it was worth maybe $79/night....it's a 2 story motel. Place has been renovated but no where near worth the price. Breakfast was Ok.. Coffee is HOT Water...would not return

We are very impressed with the staff at this hotel. The breakfast was outstanding with a full house and they never ran out of food. The dining area was clean and homey. The small staff was able to attend to every detail. We had a wonderful trip and will be back to stay at the Banner Elk Best Western.

Excellent place with a very friendly staff, the surroundings are breath taking. Typical small town with not a lot to do, but if you love nature and tranquility this will be your gateway. The main attraction is the grandfather mountain and during fall seasons the different leaf colors are beautiful. The hotel was under construction so it means that in...

This is our third ski trip to Banner Elk and have stayed at the Best Western each year. The staff has been very accommodating, providing us with adjoining rooms with a connecting door. This is great since we had our grandchildren on the trip. The full breakfast is always a treat and is included with the room price. We will...
