The place is under new management. Very nice people. Good country cooking in their restaurant. I especially like the squash and onions! The place needs updating but is clean and comfortable. There was a fireplace in our room!!

If you are looking for the rustic, mountain feel not far from attractions, this is it! The wood burning fireplace was wonderful and the breakfast that was included in the stay was awesome. The Inn was just purchased by new owners this summer and they are eager to improve and accommodate the guests. We were very pleased and will return!...

My wife and I first stayed at this lovely log cabin-like inn more than two decades ago, with its idyllic mountain views three quarters of the way up Beech Mountain. This was when it was being hand-built by the Archer family. Since then it has undergone a few ownership changes with mixed results. There is a small restaurant (Jackalope's View)...

My wife and I went up on a Fri. Because of a few bad reviews I wanted to see the room before plunking down a lot of money. I checked their on their website before we left home and the Presidential room was available. When we got there we were told no rooms were available. With tears in our eyes...

Very enjoyable stay with family. The rooms had plenty of space. It was nice to sit on the porch with a glass of wine, good views and the companionship of family. The weather was great, which was good because they don't have a/c. It was not needed. Our breakfast was nothing fancy but it was good. Kitchen service was a...

It was a small hotel, not many rooms. The rooms were a little dated but clean and inviting. The fireplace was great!. They only provided only a little wood so be prepared to buy your own. The views were beautiful. We stayed here on a groupon deal.

This is a charming place with a spectacular view. We kept our huge field stone fireplace burning most of our stay (firewood is available at the nearby Food Lion). At the time we stayed, we were the only guests, so we enjoyed unusual quiet and privacy. The room was large and comfortable.

This place is small and rustic, but that added to the experience. The staff was friendly. We stayed in the hawks lodge building. The views were amazing. They were renovating the restaurant, so it wasn't open. The area is amazing.

We stayed in a Hawk's view King room (Beech room) for two nights, the room has a log cabin style very rustic, simple and clean, it has a real fire place (bring your own wood) which was the main reason that we decided to stay at this place, the room was equipped with 24" old style TV, fridge, microwave, 4...
