Never having skied in North Carolina before, I was skeptical about the mountains as well as the lodging. The picture of the room with a fireplace seemed exactly what we were looking for. My girlfriend researched Banner Elk and decided that Archers Mountain Inn was the place to go. The Jackelope restaurant was far and above what we expected from... More

Easy, breezy & comfortable...from check in to checkout. Helpful staff made it perfect. Varied menu made everyone happy & beautiful long range view from the cozy restaurant & Jackalopes Vault (their bar with a view) made it complete. Great if you just want to get away and dress in comfort without pretense! The 3rd night really made it worth coming... More

Let me just start off by saying that I have high expectations when it comes to accommodations, and Jackalope's (Archer's Inn) not only met them, but exceeded. Gloria is awesome an the service is out of this world excellent! Me and my family had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. By the way, the fact that they bring... More

My husband and I were recommended this beautiful warm and welcoming place from beech mountain resort ski and snowboarding! They are pet friendly and our room was beyond clean and even smelled fantastic! They serve you complementary breakfast but instead of going to a kitchen they bring you your breakfast to your room for you. We had the most beautiful... More

We also stayed here on a Living Social deal and were very pleased! We had the Appalachian Room with a king bed, sofa, fireplace, fridge, microwave and coffee maker with a table and chairs. We had a spectacular view from our porch/deck with two rocking chairs overlooking the mountains. Although it was raining and snowing, it cleared both evenings so... More

Perfect "rustic" hotel with all the modern conveniences at a fabulous price. Huge stone fireplace. Watched sunrise and set from our room set on the side of a mountain. 30 second walk to top notch restaurant and a staff that could not have been friendlier. Our two little dogs were welcome as well.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We were also given a 25 $ gift voucher at the restaurant. It was a good choice and... More

We booked archers inn now called Jackalopes Mountain Inn as a Living Social Deal for only $149 for two nights. We got a great cabin room with vaulted ceiling, leather sofa, fireplace, king bed, and porch with panoramic views. Then we had dinner in their restaurant which we also got a $15 voucher towards. It was amazing! The menu is... More

We loved our room. Yes, it is in the woods on the side of a mountain so the whole rustic thing is to be expected but rustic does not mean Spartan. It was clean, plush and cozy. What we did not expect was the first class service. The owner and staff did everything they could to ensure that we would... More

Just got back from a weekend at Archer's Mountain Inn and had an excellent time. The Inn is under new management and they are making lots of changes. I was surprised to read some of the other comments listed here since our experience was quite the opposite. Yes, it is rustic, and that is exactly what we expected from a... More
