Stayed in the Captain's Quarters on the 3rd floor with my husband and son on Friday, April 14th for 1 night. Booked through Beaufort Realty (Susan). Check-in was pleasant and efficient. Was looking forward for a pleasant and special stay at the beginning to our trip to Atlantic Beach and Beaufort. Problems began with the killing of a large roach...

My wife and I dropped in for dinner tonight. Great location and restaurant. We had fried green tomatoes and they were outstanding. They came with 'lace cornbread' first time I've had that since my grandmother made it. My wife had scallops and they came with a really good rice cooked with crispy ham. Generous portions of scallops. I had fresh...

My fiancé and I stayed at The Cedars Inn for 2 nights this past week. We rented the cottage behind the main hotel and it was perfect. We checked in and greeted by the chef, Steve, who was very nice and showed us to the cottage. The pictures from their website are spot on as to what it looks like...

We were fortunate to have the cottage at the inn. Very helpful manager showed us every room available which vary considerably. No elevator so 2nd and 3rd floor may not appeal to all. When we were shown the cottage with a nice seating area and a private front porch adjacent to parking area we were very pleased. All rooms appeared...

As soon as we walked in a staff member yells out do you have a reservation. I gave her my name and told her yes, she rolls her eyes at us as she checks our name off the reservation book. We then find out that this is not a kid friendly restaurant at all.

Upon arriving at The Cedars Inn, we found it to have beautiful curb appeal (see pictures) and convenient parking, along with a terrific proximity to downtown. Once inside and in our on-the-front-side 2nd floor room, however, we found that beyond the room’s attractive beautiful walls, things were not so good. Here’s why: 1) our bed was a double bed, which...

Great service and very clean. We loved sitting on the front porch enjoying the river breezes. They were very accommodating with our breakfast on the day of our departure. I just wish that we had had time to have dinner at the B&B...that is one thing that we missed! We stayed in the Captains Quarters on the 3rd floor &...

Stayed in the cottage and had a marvelous visit. The porch of the cottage had rocking chairs which could be faced out to see the water. Roses and lovely plantings lined the walkway to the cottage. The bedroom was quiet and comfortable with marvelous touches of home. The sitting room has a fireplace and is cozy for watching tv or...

We were really looking forward to visiting Beaufort NC and staying in this Inn which we had seen featured in Southern Living. The Inn itself is very attractive, easy to find with good parking and the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and well furnished, bright and light, but the bedding felt worn and in need of a refresh....

My husband and I enjoy staying in B&Bs especially in our home state of North Carolina. We hadn't been to Beaufort before and decided to make the trip and stay at the Cedars Inn based on a review we read in Southern Living magazine. The inn was built in the 1700s and has a lot of charm. There is a...
