This was a birthday getaway stay. We arrived right at check in time and Desha ( Dezia?) was very efficient and helpful. Our room was the Tree House room and it is a “WOW”. All the steps are worth the climb. The beautiful bed, pretty oak beams, lovely fireplace that doubles into

My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary. This inn was the perfect location for us. We were able to start our days with a SPECTACULAR breakfast (get the grits, you won't regret it). We hiked and explored the Blue Ridge Parkway during the day and the location of

My wife and I love the Arts and Crafts style of architecture, and the Inn is beautifully restored with mission oak interior and bark exterior. We were in the English Rose suite with friends in the adjoining Oak Tree suite which gave the 4 of us our own shared balcony. The

Are children allowed?
I didn't see small children there but there were teens there during our visit. They have two 2-3 bedroom cottages that would be suitable for families. Plus the cabins are pet friendly as well.

We also stay over New Year's and the rates change. I agree that the restaurant is not as good as the inn, but there are plenty of better restaurants in the area. The service in the inn is great, definitely worth the price no matter when you visit.

I think they have a couple on the main floor. They may be louder when breakfast is served in the AM. And I think they may be a little smaller and a more basic room. But, all are beautifully decorated and Blowing Rock is such a fun/slow paced town. Make sure to go to the Cone Manor and The Bass Lake is lovely in August.

"Rooms in the main house are older and have more character."
"The original rooms are smaller than the newer ones. The A/C in the old rooms is noisy."
"The "Treehouse" is myall-tile favorite ! Blue Wysteria is a great economy room with a deck."
