If you want modern, new, or cutting edge this is not the place for you. If you like history and like to imagine what is was like to stay in a hotel in 1860's....this is it! Rocking chairs on the big open front porch, big windows that use to open before they had a/c, sitting areas, a library, hot tea...

We decided to spend a mid week getaway Blowing Rock, NC, and some dear friends suggested the Green Park Inn, which is part of the Historic Hotels of America. What a beautiful place! Parking lot, front entrance, the lobby, the various sitting rooms, I can go on and on. Each room was artfully decorated and restored to earlier times. But...

Was looking for a hotel that had a balcony overlooking the mountains so we could just relax and watch the mountains. This hotel is not the place. Rooms with balconies are on the side only view is road, small part of golf course and condos. It was also stated that the hotel had been renovated they did it just as...

We’re very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We don’t claim to have mountain views (few hotels in Blowing Rock do) and we very specifically point this out in our confirmation, which is emailed to every reserving guest, and contains important information for guests to be aware of. We also don’t state anywhere, either online or in our...

I have stayed at the Green Park Inn 5 times at different times of the year over the past few years. Most of the visits were for the Murder Mystery Weekend but have been there just for a fun Blowing Rock weekend. I have always found the staff to be very accomodating and friendly. I have eaten at the restaurant...

First of all let me say I primarily chose THE Green Park INN based on Tripadvisors rating. Boy were we let down!! 1. There is major construction on road that fronts this property, noisy and they start early. Balcony rooms face highway. We're told this construction has been going on for sometime and will continue for quite awhile. 2. Lobby...

I enjoyed my visit. The Inn has a nice historic quaint charm about it. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My room was neat and clean. The only suggestion I would have is to staff a little heavier for specialty weekends as the wait staff was having a hard time keeping up. But all in all I would go back again....

Attended a "Murder Mystery" weekend there. Old hotel but good accommodations, easy check-in, easy check-out, beautiful surroundings, good food, plentiful free parking, Charlie, the piano player is WONDERFUL! ...great time!

Spent a celebration weekend here. We had a one bedroom corner suite. Welcome check in a little lethargic. No bell staff so you are on your own for taking luggage to your room. Some of the carts are a little dated so check your's works well. Elevator small but I expected this in a historic hotel. Corridor to room a...

We went on a Sunday night. We were there for the horse show. I made the reservation the day before. I figured it would be ok and was anxious to see the place after I heard it had been remodeled. I then read some things on google about it being haunted and a couple of disturbing things so I called...

Here’s the reality of this reviewers stay with us. The individual who answered the phone was , me, the General Manager. The reviewer expressed concern at the possibility of being in a room that was described as “haunted” on the internet. In fact, the reviewer specifically stated she didn’t care where her room was located, as long as it wasn’t...

The graceful Victorian era hotel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has been lovingly and faithfully restored as of the fall of 2010. Turn back the clock to a more genteel time when exquisite attention to guest's needs, a polite, respectful and helpful staff, and an atmosphere of quiet elegance was the magnet that drew authors, poets, presidents and first ladies to the cool mountain breezes of the Green Park Inn.
