The beautiful furnishing, fireplaces in the bedroom and bathroom, and the Japanese soaking tub all made for a comfortable stay. All of the rooms are unique and lovely. You really can't go wrong. We would absolutely come back to stay at Gideon Ridge again. The service was fantastic from the minute we arrived. We were greeted by Anne, who was friendly, very honest about the nearby things that we could do and places to eat (which we appreciated), and extremely accomodating. The room itself was very clean, with great amenities such as WiFi,... More

Excellent romantic winterwonderland, pampered like king and queen. Peaceful sleep and breakfast was wonderful. Chocolate covered strawberries added final little piacere as we say in italian. Snowing evenings and dinner at Bistro Roca was excellent.

We stayed in the Victorian Room and had a wonderful weekend in Blowing Rock and at Gideon Ridge Inn. The bed was a beautifully carved antique with a great mattress and bedding. The en suite bath had a Japanese Soaking Tub and a fireplace! We had a private deck and enjoyed the cool evenings overlooking the grounds. Gideon Ridge feels... More

Third stay at Gideon in 6 years and we'll definitely be back. I recommend the Cedar cottage for couples, as long as you don't mind walking up and down steps. It's separate form the main house and feels more private. We've stayed in the house too, those rooms are also great. We tried the restaurant for dinner for the first... More
