If you are looking for a fancy place do not, I repeat do not visit the hemlock Inn..But if you would like to escape from he hustle and bustle of the race then this is the place for you. The rooms are clean and grounds well kept but the view and home cooked food make this place one to revisit.... More

this is a tough one. on one hand they are so nice. mort the owner is fantastic. the wait staff couldn't be more accommodating. the view from the porch is really terrific. but, the room is outdated, the bathroom didn't have an electrical outlet, and the price is likely a bit high for what you get. but still, the staff... My wife and I stayed at the Hemlock Inn over Labor Day weekend. It was beyond perfect. Our cottage was clean, warmly decorated, and very quiet. We enjoyed meeting the other guests at breakfast and dinner and found that we spent a lot of time together outside of meals, playing games or just sitting and talking around the property. We... Homey, comfortable, beautiful surroundings - made our stay at the Hemlock Inn a good one! The staff go out of their way to meet your needs. The food is good old southern cooking, everyone is friendly, there's even a library in case you forgot your book to read! Very casual and home-like!

The Hemlock Inn has a special place in our family's hearts. Since coming here 30 some years ago, we still are drawn back to the simple pleasures that this inn affords. A total of 17 family members enjoyed the hospitality of the inn last week. In today's rushed world, one longs for this type of atmosphere. The welcome is warm,... More

Our first visit to Hemlock Inn was in June of 1985 on our honeymoon. We drove out from CT and went home with many warm memories of the people we met, the beauty and serenity of the setting, the hospitality of the inn keepers, and the terrific food for breakfast and dinner each day. For our 30th anniversary, we decided... More

We have been going to the Hemlock Inn for over 20 years and have found the people, the food, the location and the Inn to be consistently wonderful. The Inn is close within minutes of the cherokee reservation and the casinos, the smokey mountain national park, the deep creek tubing campground, the Nantahala outdoor center and the blue ridge parkway.... This is one of the best places I've ever been to!! In Canada, one doesn't get an accommodation where homemade breakfast and dinner are included. I found this an absolutely amazing set up. The big bonus, the food is top notch!!! The only thing bad about the food is what my scale is going to say when I get home!!... More

My wife is still upset. Our trip to the Great Smokies was planned just because of this place. We were unaware of the additional fees that jumped our nightly stay from 169 to 225 per night. Food was disappointing. As stated in a number of reviews the bathrooms are quite outdated. The place has two things going for them. The... More
