If there is a vacancy at this motel in your search, grab it! Everything about this nostalgic Motor Lodge, from the period-perfect exterior to the charming owners made our stay memorable. If you want to kick back in your comfortable room with WiFi or hang out in the pavillion with other travelers that you've just met, you're sure to have an excellent stay at the Carolina Country Inn.

Absolutely, 10/10 recommend this charming gem in Burnsville! We booked for Veterans’ Day weekend which coincided with tropical storm Nichole coming through the state. We got held up only an hour from home with car trouble and that set us back a couple of hours. We called and let Ryan know we’d be running behind and he assured us it was no problem and that he’d be in the office until 9:30. Couldn’t have received a nicer greeting while checking in! He asked about our drive up, asked about the car and assured us the room was warmed up for us and lights turned on. What a great welcome as we’d been driving in the cold rain all day.

The next day we visited a farm where we got our boots very dirty and asked if they had an outside hose we could borrow. Ryan not only walked me around back to show me where it was, but stood there and had conversation with me while HELPING ME scrub my muddy, poopy shoes!! He even gave me a garbage bag to put them in so they did get our trunk wet. That is excellent service and we were very appreciative!
I met another employee, Jennifer (?) the next day and she was just as nice!

The room was very clean, the bed was a little less firm than we prefer but comfy, and the grounds well kept. Roku TV was a great added bonus since nights and Sundays there are definitely quiet! We will definitely be back!

A beautiful place with lots of charm and everything you need for your stay. The owners were friendly and welcoming. This place has been beautifully updated, but in a way that allows the original charm to shine through. Beds are super comfy, and attention to detail was evident in the little extras provided in the room. Landscaping is beautiful. A definite 5 star!

My stay at the Inn was one with hospitality like family. Ryne was quick to check me in and had left the lights on for me in my room. I love how the rooms have been updated but still have a few of the antique touches like some original door knobs. The room was very clean, and the bed and pillows were perfect. The location is also perfect- close to downtown and good restaurants. I will definitely be back!

This hotel is in a safe, quiet location. I have been a guest twice over the past few years and definitely want to stay there again during future visits.
The owners are super friendly and impeccably thorough about the cleanliness of the rooms and the welfare of their guest.
The rooms are well equipped and the beds were comfy. The area around Burnsville has lot's of scenic areas nearby for adventure, relaxation and fun which is why I visited. This hotel is the ideal place to stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is a very charming property with lovely gardens and outdoor space. The room was clean and the towels fluffy. This a great location for exploring Yancey County Barn Quilt trails and the barn quilts in Burnsville itself. It is also close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the whole area is great for motorcycles. The staff was nice and very helpful with my questions. We had a wonderful time.

Friendly, Comfortable, Hospitable, Nostalgic Inn. Loved our stay! Modern conveniences combined with days of cute road-side motel all rolled into one. Highly recommend a stay. Staff was so inviting and friendly made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll be back! Thank you very much.

Do not hesitate to book a room here if you are in this area! While the facility is not modern, it is very clean and comfortable. Rooms have a large Ruko tv, excellent wifi, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, and very comfortable beds. Best of all, you are greeted by lovely people who want nothing more than to make your stay the best. What else can you ask for? We will be back! Highly recommend!

I wasn't sure what to expect since the price was so good. I was VERY pleased. Such a cute place. The room was perfect. Very clean, comfy bed. Had a mini fridge & microwave, tv, tiled walk in shower & ceiling fan. Shampoo/soap was provided. Location was great, easy walk to town. The landscaping was beautiful! It's located right across from a Bojangles so you can walk there to get a quick breakfast if you're in a hurry and can't go to a local diner in town. Owner was very sweet. Will definitely stay here again!

We came across the Carolina Inn by accident , we are on a road trip, cycling and camping, needing a couple of non-tent days. Lovely Inn, everything we needed and more. The gardens are lovely, the rooms are comfortable and cozy. The service and genuinely caring attitude of Ryan and Stacey are the cherry on the cake. We were directed to great places to eat, drink and be merry. Ryan even he!ped us out in a way he could not have known would be so important... he gave us an axe he had! We had been unable to buy a small axe for our fires when camping , he gave us one and thank heavens he did, the next few nights the temperatures hovered around freezing and a fire made all the difference.
We will certainly return. A massive thanks to Ryan, Stacey and the boss!

The answer is no, they do not allow pets. Apparently they did at one time, but not any longer. It is clearly stated on their website in the section about the Inn. Sorry.
