We had a large room with a queen and a futon. More than enough for just the two of us. The room was very clean and even a dog park for our puppy. Because the area is best known for great fishing, they offer a freezer, ice machine and washer and dryer for the use of the guest. The freezer... More

Cape pines motel receives an excellent rating from me because it far exceeded my expectations of a typical motel stay. I can't think of anything that could have made our stay more pleasant. The staff I encountered was friendly and offered up information about the area, the room was much larger than expected with comfortable beds and so clean! We... More

I stayed in rm 23 which was a king size bed on the 2nd floor above the check-in area and didn't have some of the issues other reviewers stated with tiny bathrooms and smokers outside their rooms. There was a smoking area on the balcony outside the entrance to the building which is separated by a space where there is... More

If you are looking for fancy and modern, you won't find it here. You will find a charming old motel with a beachy feel and so clean it could pass the white glove test. The staff was friendly and knowledgable about the area. They even offered a guest freezer and there was a refridgerator and a microwave in the room.... More

This was our second stay at this wonderful, little motel where pets are treated like the part of the family that they are! This is an older place although there is obvious care being taken. Seriously, every time we looked the owner was present and overseeing some small maintenance issue. The pool is sparkling clean and grounds well kept--mowed with... More

We had pondered staying here 2 years ago on our OBX trip as we ventured from South to North to meet family in Nags Head. This year, we decided to stay here for a couple of days on our way North. Glad we did and we'll certainly be back...maybe for a week next time! Very clean room, friendly service, and... More

Extremely clean, well run, pet friendly motel! We had to alter plans due to Hurricane Arthur and Angie was able to accomodate us for the night with less than 12 hours notice! My husband & I recently stayed at the Cape Pines for a second time (first time was 3 years ago) - it's a great little spot to stay, we'd highly recommend it to others.
