My family and I had wanted to spend a weekend at the beach. I always passed this place and said i'd like to check it out. So I called to make a reservation. A young man answered and confirmed my reservation with a credit card and was given a confirmation #. The next day he calls me back and says my room is not available and that I'll have to take the more expensive room and pay the difference. When I told them that isn't right, since my reservation was confirmed they said there was nothing they could do. So, I just went with it. If I had known then... I would have cancelled. We arrive at the Inn and check in to find that the pool is closed for ... THE YEAR. They never mentioned this on the telephone when making my reservation. I definitely would not have booked this place as we have two young children with us. We go upstairs to our room and open the door and it feels like 100 degrees. We were told that the power company had fixed the electric in that room earlier in the day. We take showers and sweat profusely while the window air conditioner cools the room down. Why did they not turn on the air once the power was restored, I guess we'll never know. The first morning we get woken up early by the sun shining in through the front door window. The window is pretty but it was not just a little light, please see the picture below. It is not an exaggeration. We were actually woken up to blinding light on our bed. I let the lady know and what is their fix? To put a window frosting on it. The sun will still shine through that brightly. The lady was nice to me but didn't seem like they care very much about their guests. So disappointing. We probably won't be going back there. :(…

My husband & I were planning a daytrip to Carolina Beach to celebrate our wedding anniversary. On a whim we decided to stay overnight & the place we usually stay at had no vacancies. We booked a single room with a double bed. The room was mediocre at best. It was clean but definitely overdue for a complete overhaul with new furnishings! The property was pretty nice as a whole. Location was perfect, close to beach & boardwalk. Pool was immaculate but we did not swim as it was raining. The owners were very welcoming & had a pleasant demeanor. I do not know if the larger rooms have been updated. They could be nicer than the room we had. I would stay again simply for price & location.

My boyfriend and I went to Carolina Beach and stayed the night for a friend's birthday. We booked this hotel because it was cheaper and one of the few hotels that doesn't have a 3 night minimum. From the outside the place was not very enticing, the room however was great. The have a decent pool and are a short walk from the beach, bars, etc. The receptionists however were very rude to us at check-in. When we got back to our room later that night, we were laughing kind of loudly as we got out of our cab and they had the cops there before our cab even had the chance to pull away saying we were fighting and disruptive!! The lady cop was very nice and just asked us to go ahead to our room, apparently the woman calls them quite often!! The next day when I checked out, she was nicer than she had been either time I had spoken with her before. So besides the employees, I would recommend the hotel.…

We stayed here for a quick getaway and to see a friend. The motel is old and could use a little sprucing up, but it's clean and a decent place to sleep. The pool is nice and all of the staff we encountered were friendly (there's only 3 or 4 total!). Take your own pillows and maybe a blanket. The pillows are hard and the blanket on the bed isn't comfortable...it was hot because of the material it is made out of. The beach access is really closes down we could walk to the boardwalk and the places right around it. If you're looking for luxury or perks, this is definitely not the place for you!!! If you're looking for a clean place to lay your head, this one is probably for you.

It sure doesn't look like a resort hotel... Because it isn't one. I went to Carolina Beach looking for a nice self-vacation and Beachside Inn is exactly what I was looking for. I went during the week so it wasn't crowded. My single room was cheap and clean, and the inn is less than 100 yards from the water and less than 50 yards from the beach access. Beachside Inn was everything I needed. The pool was a definite perk.

We had a nice time at the hotel. We really enjoyed the pool and the garden next to our room. The fridge was really small and barely worked... We had to throw out a few things because the fridge wasn't cold enough. We enjoyed all the furniture outside of our room too we could walk outside for a smoke break and there was an ashtray and chairs and a table. The beds were hard but it was the best sleep I've had in months...

Me and my friend came down here for the weekend to have a mini vacation and this was one of the few places thatx was relatively cheap with good reviews. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly woman atss the desk. Our room was on the 2nd floor right by the garden, which is beautifusl. The room had that old building smells but that was expected considering the hotel has been around for a while. The ca itself as well as the bathroom was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked well enough so we weren't burning up the whole time. The pillows are very firm, so if that's not your preference then I recommend bringing a pillow from home. I also recommend bringing extra towels for the bathroom. This was no 5 star hotel, however, it is a great choice for a few days stay while on a budget. I would definitely stay here again. …

Perfect little spot at the beach. Great beach access, pool, and clean. Great price! I also loved that the place is family owned. They were happy to give recommendations and we appreciated their pro tips! I would highly recommend.

Was great for a couple's get away. Rooms are small but have everything you really need. Staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean. Easy walk to the beach and to dinner/bars and the beach is not over crowded.
