Had we been staying longer than just a few hours, We would have left. This place needs some serious TLC. We were in room 217. The entire 2nd floor as soon as the elevator opened reeked of marijuana. Found hair in the bed. The chair had rips in it. Pipes in bathroom were rusted out. Anytime another door in the hall would close, our door would shake and since the "fold over" lock was lose and barely attached to the wall it rattled all night. I have cancelled my future stays for the quarter. I will not be returning.
I ended up at the property due to American Airlines cancelling a flight. Since CLT was my layover city and it was after 11 PM, I had a choice of 3 hotels. I chose the sleep inn because there was a free shuttle. I confirmed my stay via AA and was given a confirmation code to show the front desk. I call the hotel, request the shuttle and it arrived within 15 minutes. Ronald at the front desk was kind and I was up to my room in no time after he confirmed my AM departure. It was after midnight so I decide to stop downstairs for a bottle of water. I had to get change from Ronald and again, great customer service. After about 5 hours, it was time to head out. I get downstairs about 6:25 for a 6:30 departure and Ronald is there. I hand him the key, check out and hop on the shuttle. Room was good enough for a quick overnight.…
First off the staff was as nice as they could be. But that is were it ended. American airlines placed us in this hotel as compensation for late/delayed flight issues after a 45 min argument to get them to be responsible for there own problems. The Hotel is very old out dated and dirty. Upon arrival we where warned that if we heard any disturbances or loud noise to call the front desk. The Hotel smelled dirty and the third floor smelled of marijuana. The room we had 311, it was not pleasing in any way it was dark, smelly and not very clean. there was hair in the shower, the sink was cracked and stains on the walls of all sorts of different things. we only had to spend approx 6hrs here and did not have any other choices at our disposal. the hotel does have two vending machines and only one ice machine both on the 1st floor. the Hotel does not have any cash period. so if you want to break a 5 or a 10 dollar bill to get something from the vending machine tough its not going to happen. In short i feel bad for the staff they again were very nice and they tried very hard. But when all you got to work with is an old broken down scary hotel. Well?????…
Walk through the reefer scented parking lot through the cigarette clouds at front door from construction and dollar store pro smokers into the filthy lobby with ghetto loud mouth female worker who yells at paying patrons. Room with rusted bathroom piping, chipped furniture and stained blooded carpet. Never again. Pay the extra price to stay on Tyvola for premium and updated hotels.
Of course AA changed my flight so I had to get a room. I had chosen one of the Comfort Inns, but the manager was nice enough to let me know that her airport shuttle was down. So, I had booked this hotel. I had called the hotel and the Manager(male) was very nice. Then, I had received a call from Karen, the hotel shuttle driver. Let me tell you...this is one of the nicest and safest shuttle drivers that I have ever met. The airline did not give me a food voucher so Karen made sure that I had something to eat. She made sure that I made it to the airport on time. Thank you Karen. The room was comfortable and clean. No complaints.
We came to this city to visit the Billy Graham Library and chose this hotel. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are a nice size. Wi-Fi is iffy as it kept going off on our devices. I really hate the shower design. It has a tiny spot to put toiletries in, and really no way to safely shave my legs. It had an old school light inside which shut off after about one minute!!! There was mold outside the door snd that door only partially opened!! The lighting above the sink is very dim. Also our room smelled like previous occupants cooked in there. While the location was convenient for us, I’m not recommending this place. Breakfast was bleak!! No yogurt, no fruit, and coffee was tasteless.
I will NEVER stay at this Sleep Inn or any other Sleep Inn again! When we checked in, Sabrina was rude and impatient and yelled at my husband (he was not doing anything wrong). There was excessive black mold growing on the bathroom ceiling, a knife cut in the chair, broken towel rack (it fell off the wall when I touched it), the halls and room smelled like smoke, the wall by the hair dryer look like it had been burnt (black on the wall all around the dryer). Someone tried to get into the room after we were asleep well after midnight. I was ready to pack my bags and leave right then. The next morning, thankfully there was a different staff member behind the counter, but he really wasn't there. I had to get his attention because he was too busy watching his device off to the side. When we returned from our trip, we had to wait an hour for the shuttle to pick us up. This was the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in!!!…
this hotel is nasty the rooms are not clean at all drugs sales in the hotel in and out the front desk woman in the evening name shelly try to go out with my husband he said and she is married I here she does this to all of the men there this place is very bad sorry but had to post something
After a long terrible experience at the airport because of American Airlines flight delays, I needed to find a place to lay my head down for a few hours. At 1:00 am Ron checked me in and was super nice and helpful. Karen, the shuttle driver knew I was worn out. She fixed me up with muffins, fruit and bottled water from their breakfast pantry. She was so nice and helpful and went above and beyond to help me. I would definitely stay here again!
Just wanted to thank Shelly Thomas for the friendly service and for signing me up on the rewards program! 5 stars! Room was excellent, as was my stay! I highly recommend this hotel, too bad covid wouldn't allow use of the entire facility, but that will be over soon! Rich Arlt
