I almost hate reviewing when I stay at a Drury because I don't want the secret to get out. The front desk service was perfect. Couldn't have asked for more. The room was clean and very comfortable. Just a few quirks this time. Evening food & drinks and the morning breakfast just wasn't up to the normal standards at a Drury. It's what I always brag on them for. Would absolutely give them another shot when I'm back in town.
This was my 3rd stay this last year since finding out about the chain. All aspects of my stays have been exceptional. The rooms are very clean (including the bathroom) have comfy beds, and everything looks new! Your stay includes a quality breakfast and also a dinner buffet with a couple of free bar drinks, soft drinks, coffee and tea. I didn't use the pool but it looked nice. These hotels make traveling a pleasure
We visited this hotel for a tournament over the weekend. We arrived very late Friday evening and were met with the friendliest front desk employee. Upon arriving to our room we couldn't locate our phone charging block (this location doesn't have USB chargers in the room, just the lobby). With all the stores closed and needing our phones for directions and team communication, the front desk employee was able to get us a block from lost and found to use. She was a huge help even so late at night. We were beyond appreciative. Breakfast begins a little later and runs from 7:30 - 10ish and offers a number of options. They also offer a social hour every evening from 5:30-7:30 where each adult is given two complimentary cocktails and fountain drinks and coffee are always available. We were impressed that they also had a full dinner buffet. The pool has extended hours, the fitness center is open 24/7, and everything was clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable, there were a multitude of pillows of different varieties to choose from, the showers were extra large, and the water was very hot, which is a huge plus in our book as we prefer a high temperature which most hotels can't meet. It was a quiet, comfortable night. We were so impressed with this smaller chain that we have already found their other locations and will be choosing them as our top priority when we travel. The only cons: no USB charging in the rooms and the refrigerator in the unit doesn't have a temperature control and wasn't really cool enough for food but was great for drinks. Honestly, given all they offer and the kindness of EVERY employee we encountered we have zero complaints.…
Stayed with the entire family when we traveled through Charlotte. Cassie was knowledgeable and thorough when checking us in; interacting with Doug was a delight. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Evening food and breakfast were wonderful. Keeps us coming back. Thanks so much for another great visit!
I’ll forever search for a Drury hotel! Was met with genuine smiles, popcorn, free buffet dinner and breakfast! Clean and comfortable. Seriously better than my Disney hotel! I felt like a celebrity at the same cost as most all my hotel stays.
Attended hotel for one night, Christmas Eve. Enjoyed the well rounded free dinner buffet as well as the breakfast buffet, which was included on Christmas day as every other day of the year. Good service and value for the money, this hotel was a family favorite.
When I traveled to St. Louis regularly for work Drury was the hotel chain of choice. That was 20+ years ago and I am happy to see how far the chain has expanded across the US. We visit Charlotte with some regularity but have been sticking with our usual chains where we have status and points accumulating. Drury just hasn’t been in the markets we frequent lately but now that we realize it IS in Charlotte and I am reminded of just how pleasant a “regular” hotel stay can be- this is likely to be our new regular place for our Charlotte weekends. The 5:30 kickback is a nice touch - though we barely made it in time this stay (and I image that may be standard for us based on when we arrive and our activities when we visit.). We did make it this time and found it to be enough food for an evening meal for us. The lady working at the bar area was pleasant, friendly and efficient. The lady who checked us in was also pleasant and knowledgeable- she was busy with many tasks but was juggling them well and with a smile! I want to say her name was Crystal or something similar (apologies!) Breakfast the morning of our stay Wa BUSY! But Sandra and other staff worked furiously to keep the buffet refilled- all while smiling and remaining friendly with the guests. On the way up from breakfast I had the opportunity to interact with Felicia from housekeeping (who also happened to be the staff member who had cleaned our room prior to our stay.). She was very friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy her job. Everyone we saw seemed to be enjoying their time here which typically points to excellent management and corporate culture. Our room - and every area of the hotel - were sparkling clean. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed with quiet heat/air and comfortable beds. I didn’t love the pillows but I also slept just fine with them. Hot water was quick and water pressure adequate. Showers had large refillable toiletries which I’ve come to really like especially in the new era of “daily housekeeping upon request”. There was also a bar of soap for hand washing (I’ve noticed some places offering bill toiletries overlook this.) The rooms are well appointed with coffee pots (single cup old style, no tea and adequate sugar/creamer as well as a mini fridge. There is plenty of free, well-lit parking. Many folks seemed to be taking advantage of the indoor pool while we were here but we didn’t have the chance to use it so I can’t comment on it beyond the observation that it seemed popular. Hotel is pet friendly (both cats AND dogs) and we saw a pup or two but didn’t notice pet noises or odor anywhere on the property. I suppose that may always depend on the number and type of pets present on any given night and their owners. There is a Ruby Tuesday next door - adjacent to parking lot - easily walkable. Location is easy to find and get to from interstate. This property gets a “definitely recommend” from us and we look forward to returning soon!…
Good value and nice accommodations. A highlight: a 5:30-7 pm buffet. Basic items like pulled pork, baked potato, salad, etc, and two free drinks, inc. in room charge. Nice hot breakfast too. Hot tub was bigger than at many hotels. Staff was very helpful. We've already booked for a future trip.
We stayed for one night due to volunteering at Operation Christmas Child the next day. Hotel is a great value and is in excellent conditions. Room was large and all amenities were great. Large breakfast area with good selection (was not there for evening meal). Very close to Carowinds, Billy Graham Library, Samaritan's Purse/Operation Christmas Child. Will return.
Loved our stay at this Drury Inn. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Meals (breakfast and dinner) were wonderful. We didn't take advantage of the indoor or outdoor pool or the fitness center, but they looked very nice. Our room was quiet, and the bed was comfortable, which we appreciated after an eleven hour drive to get there. The bathroom was beautiful and very clean! We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area!
