Detailed Reviews
Didn’t think the hotel was as impressive as the photos make it look, but you can’t beat the location if you’re attending an event at the Spectrum Center. I had a studio suite and it reminded me of a Residence Inn by Marriott, but a little more stylish in terms of decor, and compact. Overall, the room and common areas were clean and well maintained, valet parking was quick and efficient and the hotel staff was pleasant, so no complaints there.
Unfortunately, the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 mostly relates to breakfast. It was just barely ok with powdered and hard boiled eggs, turkey and pork sausage, potatoes, grits, cereals and assorted breads. They also had pancakes, but they were rubbery after sitting under a heat lamp to try to keep them warm. Much prefer the standard waffle makers you generally find in hotels like these. Was also extremely disappointed that there was no fresh fruit, but fruit cocktail in heavy syrup instead. After a workout at the gym, who wants to ruin it eating that? And, what happened to the omelettes that are splashed all over the website as a breakfast feature? Come to find out, the chef doesn’t work weekends. Not a good look to advertise something broadly that you don’t offer everyday. I will say, however, that the restaurant staff did replenish foods on the buffet quickly, keep tables clean and were very cordial.
But, breakfast aside, overall, a nice place to stay and would recommend.

We booked this hotel months ago for the Rockets at Hornets game. We stayed in one of the one bedroom suites, since we were traveling with our 11 year old nephew. The room included a full size fridge, two burner electric range, and serve ware. There was a huge desk in the main room, perfect for anyone traveling for business. The pull out couch was surprisingly comfortable, and perfect for anyone with young muscles. It was already made up and ready to go. The main room also had a huge wall of windows, which overlooked the city. The curtains were able to block out the sun, which was much needed with the time change that occurred that night.
The bedroom was comfortable, and included a large window as well. Again, I was able to sleep in due to the good curtains. The bathroom was spacious, and included a large shower. There was plenty of room for cosmetics and hair things on the counter. The bathroom lighting was great.
The location can’t be beat if you’re coming to Charlotte for anything at The Spectrum Center! Seriously, walk out the front door, swing right, and you’re there. The valet was about $30 a night, but you’re going to spend that on parking and Uber anyway. The valet guys were extremely nice.
The front desk was hit or miss. I called earlier in the week about an early check in since we were coming from five hours away for a 5pm game, and needed to get ready beforehand. I was told to cal back that morning and they would see what could be done. When I called, we were about an hour out. I was told to, again, call back. At that point I asked to speak to someone else, who made me aware that check out was at noon and there were only two suites on each of the 17 (16 without lobby?) floors. They had a full house the night before due to a concert. The explanation would have been nice originally, but the woman I spoke with put a note to get us in the first clean suite. We arrived around 1:30-2pm and got in right away. Big thanks for making that happen, but asking folks to call back every hour seemed silly when we understood after the explanation was delivered.
My room was clean, we ultimately got in early, didn’t have to park for the game, and had a short (seriously so short) walk back. This will be the only hotel I stay in when I come back for Hornets games!

We arrived on Saturday Sept. 11 at 4pm for one night for the Carolina Panthers/Jets game. Valet parking was fast and easy and the guys very friendly. Front desk was well staffed, we did the online check in so we already knew our room number prior to arriving, we just needed to pick up our room keys, super fast. I worked that day and didn't have time to bring much in the way of snacks or drinks so I purchased items from the Market, which was well stocked and staffed. No waiting around which was nice. They do have a bar in the lobby as well that is open and the bar tender was chatting with the four guest that were sitting there.
The location was perfect and easy to drive to. We walked to Chima Steakhouse for dinner, lots of other options nearby as well, all easily accessible. They had a hot breakfast available with eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, along with the usual bagels, cereal, oatmeal, water, juices, tea and coffee.
I'm giving this an excellent rating because of how CLEAN our room was. I always take disinfectant wipes and wipe everything down including the tops of counters and nightstands and the room was spotless! I was also impressed with the 7th floor. This is where the outdoor pool and guest laundry are located. If you have an extended stay they have a beautiful lounge area to wait in while you're waiting on your laundry and the outdoor seating around the pool is very nice as well.
I would absolutely stay at this property again.

Overall this hotel is fine. The staff is truly excellent. Attentive, kind, fun, accommodating. It WOULD BE a good value for its location if it didn't also have valet, rather than self-, parking for $30 additional per night. Even that wouldn't be terrible if it were more organized/coordinated and more staffed during busy times. If you are traveling to Charlotte and don't have a car, this hotel will probably meet your needs.

I traveled to Charlotte for a special occasion this past weekend. Since I have previously stayed at Hyatt locations, I believed my experience would be great. I was very very wrong. My suite was filthy when I checked in and when I requested it to be cleaned, it was still dirty after. The sheets were dirty twice (1st time there was lipstick on the sheets, 2nd time there caucasian hairs in the bed - I'm a female with locs and my boyfriends head is shaven, so it was NOT our hair), the shower was not clean with a visible dirty handprint on the wall, the curtains were dirty with some residue on them, and the floors were dirty and covered in glitter as if they were not vaccummed. I asked management to be moved to another room and was denied. I spoke to management again at check out about receiving a refund and was only given back 50% of my bill. I have requested a full refund from management, because I was highly dissatisfied with my stay and especially during a pandemic there is no excuse for this dangerous behavior, but have yet to hear back. I will never be staying at a Hyatt location again, nor recommended them to any fellow travelers because of this experience.

I just spent a night in a hotel that had sticky floors and hardly any of the TV channels worked. When I called down to complain about at least 10 channels not working that were advertised there’s no apology there was nothing but “oh yeah some of the TV channels don’t work”. Then I go down to try and buy a snack and the only thing left was M&Ms a very small bag for $2.50. I am a hyatt member and I’ve never stayed at such a disorganized and mismanage location. on top of the gross rooms, I was charge $30 for valet parking. Total rip off. This particular Hyatt has lost my business when I visit Charlotte.

+1
The location was great as it was within walking distance of a brunch spot we wanted to visit “Tattooz and Booz” and connected to the Spectrum Center. The hotel offers $40 valet parking however we opted to park across the street for $10 (12 hours) and $20 (24 hours). There’s also a diner that’s across the street that seemed pretty popular. The front desk and breakfast staff was nice and the rooms were clean.
The breakfast options were good. One day they had oatmeal, Canadian bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, cereal/milk, different breads/bagels, juices, coffee, tea. The second day they had the same options but instead regular bacon and grits. The sitting area/lobby is beautiful and kept clean at all times.
The room was small but comfy. The kitchenette was fully stocked with plates, pots, utensils, measuring cup, glasses, etc. The fridge was full size and they also had a dishwasher. Once I go in a room I always have to go over everything to make sure it’s clean. As I went through the entire room with Clorox wipes remained white. That’s going through the bathroom, light switches, door handles, tables, etc.
They also have a gym and a tiny pool if you’d like to go. I like that they had filtered water station and ice machine available on the floor where the pool is located.
The only con I would say was the bartender. He was a tall guy with cornrows. We came in from having dinner at Steak 48 and decided to have a drink. The bartenders attitude was rude so my friend got a drink and I opted not to. We were going to sit at the bar but as I mentioned his attitude was some sh*t so we took it upstairs. On top of that the drink was disgusting. Literally and it was only a Lemon Drop. We weren’t trying to engage in convo but just say good evening and it was as though we were bothering him although no one else was there.
Other than that everything was nice.

Room Tip: I would avoid the valet parking since there’s parking across the street and the bar.

The Charlotte Hyatt House had very professional, courteous and helpful staff. The complimentary breakfast included an omelet station and the standard continental options. The room had a small fridge, microwave and a bed I would rate a 7 out of 10. The only con would be that the TV’s internet dependent options were not available due to a technical issue. However, the cleanliness and friendliness of the Hyatt House were a wonderful surprise and I would return with hesitation.
The location is almost across the street from the town transportation/bus center. Lots of available Uber drivers to take you on short or long trips.

Our room was dirty when we arrived. Housekeeping came to clean and vacuum but also sprayed some sort of deodorizer that lingered forever. I think it’s in my nostrils permanently. There are no USB ports to charge anything, no Smart TVs and the rooms are tired and dingy. We called the front desk to ask about a few things and were brushed off, basically the woman hung up on us. Parking is $30 per night and the bellhops don’t bring your luggage to your room. This place basically sucks. Don’t waste your money.

Conflict in communication between AAA's so called truth in amenities offered (free parking) and reality of parking at Hyatt House Hotel. Specifically, AAA told us it was free parking AND free breakfast. However, it turns out that parking is actually $33.00 per night. These two organizations need to update their communications between each other so there won' be any surprises on the customers end. Also, bathroom floor ans fixtures could have been cleaned and sanitized prior to our arrival. Floor was dirtty and obviously not cleaned after each customer arrival. Other than those two issues, a lovely facility with great customer service--nice morning meal and adherence to COVID precautions by a friendly staff fas welll as many customers who wore masks inside the hotel..

Parking is $30 per night, and the hotel is valet only with full in and out privileges. There are lots on either side of the hotel that are operated separately from the hotel, rates range from $10 every 12 hours up to $25, with no in and out.
Check in is at 3 pm, check out by noon.
You would have to contact hotel directly. There is a sofa in every room
Breakfast is included, but nothing else is included food or drink wise.
I’m not sure why this hotel pulled up under all inclusive. The breakfast is free, but other food and drink in the bar/restaurant are not included in your price.
