The room was very clean, and the bed was so comfortable. It was very soft and felt like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfast was very good, and I'm not usually a fan of hotel breakfasts. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The water temperature needs to be checked. Water in shower never got hot, was more of a lukewarm temperature. Saw a bug crawling on the wall by the headboard. Incidental fee wasn't disclosed when making reservation.

Coming to Charlotte from Maryland to visit my daughter's who I haven't seen in awhile I got checked into the room the first night the toilet overflowed with Ahmad and we were unable to move to a new room what were you wearing. The continental breakfast was great the first day after that they did not serve bacon only sausage that was a bummer. Thankfully only had to stay here for one night. As soon as you walk through the front doors of the hotel you are hit with a wave of musty, nasty air that is nearly suffocating. Our rooms were generally dirty in all of the usual spots (vents, ceiling corners, bathrooms, etc). It just looks like they did the absolute bare minimum to clean the rooms. The rooms were also listed as non-smoking but smelled like someone had smoked a pack right before we checked in. They also advertised breakfast on their website, but it was not offered (probably for the best given the condition of the rest of the hotel). The only positive was the front desk attendant (Steven I believe was his name) was extremely friendly. Recommend avoiding this place.

Walls are thin in room so next room noise un breakable. Internet sucks. I couldn’t event connect my VPN. Breakfast just had fruit which was rotten. Lots of odd people surrounding in parking lot. Towel quality was not good.. as they using Choice hotel towels..

With myself being a Dj; I travel ALOT. I came down here from Asheville, North Carolina in route to West Virginia, I had a issue with me rebooking my hotel room for another night through Hotels.com, this young man who goes by the name of Darrin was working the front desk, I stated what my issue was and thankfully Darrin as well as his supervisor (Shiv) was able to fix the issue without me having to stay on the phone with the agents from Hotels.com, I am grateful to be able to stay with with such great people working the front desk, I highly recommend every traveling business owner to come here! I stayed here, booking through my United app, for a softball tournament. I only stay at hotels with a bathtub so I can recover a bit easier before the next days games. The stopper for the tub would not even screw in, and the flange on it wouldn’t allow for it to seal.
I tried to let the host guy know Saturday upon my returning from the fields but couldn’t keep his attention. He said he would leave a note for the maintenance staff for Sunday.
Sunday morning leaving for softball, I spoke with the front desk lady and she noted it down and said that the maintenance would take care of it during the day. By the way, it wasn’t logged from the night before as had been told to me.
I get back from playing games Sunday, ask if it had been taken care of when I entered the hotel, and the host lady (different from the morning) said it should have been taken care of.
I go up to the room, the same stopper is in the bathtub and nothing had been done. I took it downstairs and left it with her and ask to have the manager give me a call. This was around 7:30 PM on Sunday.
I’ve still not heard from anyone concerning it.
Zero customer service.

The only thing good about this hotel was most of the front desk staff. From the minute you enter the lobby, you are “hit” with a smell that is closely akin to a serious septic problem clothed in orange mist that exacerbates rather than diminishes the horrific odor. You get a slight relief in the room, but it is slight. Everything about the hotel is old and poorly done. The bedding is barely adequate, the carpets seemed “mushy,” and the air conditioning system was antiquated. To remain cool, the fan had to remain on all night. That was not good for sleeping. Had I not been placed in this location by those who others who made the reservation, I would not have stayed. Others, beware.

Filthy sheets, filthy sink, refrigerator filled with old food. Was told to change my own sheets because there was no one there to do it. Nicholas told me to pick up the sheets at the desk and I told him I didn’t think so and he brought them to too room

I’ve never been to a Country Inn & Suites until Yesterday and I’m already sure I’ll not only return, but highly suggest this for other friends in the future. BUT that’s only if they still have the hotel receptionist from last night there to check me in
again! Upon our turn to check in, while we waited, he was holding conversations about current events and cracking jokes. We stood there talking and laughing even after we received our key. Zee is the one you want to look for, he has been more than kind and helpful, he doesn’t think twice to go the extra mile for you. He even upgraded our room, no charge to us. Just checking in alone was such a pleasant experience that I was not expecting. It’s a very rare occasion to find someone in the customer service industry who not only actually seems interested in you’re happiness, but is a ray of sunshine and happiness themselves. I am so impressed with his devotion to his guests and his ability to make us feel so truly welcome at the Country Inn & Suites and raise our spirits at the same time. Satisfactory level for this visit is off the charts. The customer before us, I noticed, almost seemed to want to find a flaw with Zee’s service and his facial expressions told it all. Not more than a minute later, the same customer was talking and laughing along with him. He then got his keys and went to his room with a smile on his face. I think he just couldn’t keep his I’ll mood in tact because Zee’s positivity and high energy was contagious. He is, in my opinion, the ideal customer service employee and should be used as an example for others in the hospitality industry that don’t understand the importance of a positive attitude towards customers. Please choose Country Inn & Suites and leave an awesome review for him that reflects his worth to this company and to the high standard he holds for himself when taking care of his customers. I'm not sure what they mean by indoor/outdoor pool. I'll be staying there over Halloween weekend & would love if they had an indoor pool.
There are no bed bug issue that I am aware of. Unfortunately, bed bugs usually travel on incoming guests. This is something that can occur at any time with any guest, at any property. This property is proactive and diligently responds when an incident occurs. I am confident that your stay will be incident free.
I don't know if there was still any part of it being renovated. I did not see anything that looked like it. I was on the first floor. I did not visit the pool (it was mid February). The room was very clean - no stains smells or bed bugs. I had no problem with staff. They were professional and friendly.
"Recommend reservations and do not be shy to ask for special needs. They have washers and dryers for $1 per load. You will likely need to bring laundry detergent."Read full review
