For the price we paid I was totally upset the water wouldn’t go out of the tub when showering the noise was unbelievable plus whoever cleaned our room did a poor job hair in the tub on the floor and in the sink just nasty the room cost was $200 wasn’t worth $75 to me we were upset
Checked into the hotel has started off with bad front desk service right off the bat. Then when we got to the room our key card did not work, had to go back down to get it reloaded. Was told if you get it close to your cell phone it will deactivate. (One lady said she had to go down 3 times). The. We got into the room and it smelled like straight mold. Just a overall bad experience at this hotel. Will not stay here ever again. Coffee was good though
Staff were very friendly. Check-in and Check-out were a breeze. Rooms were clean, spacious, and up-to-date. Beds were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was good and had a lot of choices. Near main interstate with restaurants nearby.
Stopped over for a night on our road trip - We arrived a little late at 9pm. The check in and check out process was swift and the service rendered by Tazay was amazing. The room & bathroom were super clean. Loved the hot breakfast with sausages, eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, orange juice, yogurt and waffles. Lovely staff, very polite. Good place for a stop over if driving long distance as it is close to the i85. I would definitely stop over again should I need accommodation in Charlotte!
Stay Report - 4/28 to 4/29 Location: The hotel is located in the Arrowood district of Charlotte which is south of downtown. The hotel itself is on Arrowood Road just east of exit 3 on I-77. Around the hotel are a couple of other limited service hotels and and a Sonic and a Starbucks. The proximity to I-77 along with I-485 one exit south makes it easy to get around the area. You can get to downtown in 15 minutes with no traffic. Hotel: The hotel is an older property (built in 2006) but recently renovated to conform to the new HIX design. There's a spacious lobby with a two computer business center (note: neither computer worked when I was there), 24 hour coffee, small snack store and an indoor pool. There's plenty of parking outside and enough space for the breakfast area. Check In: The agents on duty I dealt with were very friendly (everyone I interacted with here was) and when I asked if I could have a king room instead of the two queen room I booked they obliged. Room: A touch on the small side but in good condition. Desk area, chaise lounge (bit odd, I'm used to couches in HIX rooms), decent sized bathroom and a full closet. The Wifi worked well and I had no issues with soundproofing. Breakfast: All the HIX favorites were on offer. Pancake machine, cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy (really watery gravy sadly), sausage, cheese omelets and nicely crisped bacon. Overall a good option especially as it's cheaper than a lot of other Charlotte properties. I'd come back. …
We stayed at this hotel for a trip to see family . The hotel was loud in the lobby area due to a lot of kid baseball teams in town due to a tournament, but the kids did not cause problems. Room was very clean and we had no complaints as to how room was cleaned everyday. The indoor pool is apparently not heated as my daughter was only able to stay in a few minutes due to cold. Our first full day there, housekeeping cleaned the room fairly early, even before we took showers. Since we took showers after housekeeping came, my wife had to get new towels that night. Front desk clerk made her go back to the room and bring the dirty towels down. She did not like having to do that, especially since we are members and Holiday Inn chain hotels are mostly all we stay at. Breakfast was standard HI Express breakfast. Parking was a slight challenge, but it appears that the hotel was totally booked on Friday and Saturday. Hotel is pretty convenient to Carowinds. On Saturday night, our key was somehow deactivated. Front desk clerk was unable to be found for 15 minutes. Turns out he was outside. We would consider staying here again next time we are in town.…
Two sets of winter stays while working for Samaritan's Purse OCC just down the street. They have a special rate, but also check online, I was able to get a better one with my IHG membership. It's a few dollars more than some of the next door hotels, but better maintained and with a nice breakfast. It felt safe for a single female traveler. Spotlessly clean. Restaurants, grocery stores nearby. Close to airport and highways, but no noise at all in the room. Several nice shopping malls within a 15 minute drive, both outlets and upscale. Enjoyed my stay and hope to be back next season. Thank you to Gloria the manager as well as the rest of the friendly and efficient staff.
We stay at this hotel when in Charlotte. The room is always immaculately clean and the staff are friendly and super helpful. Even the hot breakfast remained in place (under COVID prevention measures).
My number one "must have" in hotels is immaculate linens. The sheets and towels were super clean. The lobby and the front of the hotel could use some cleaning up. Makes a bad first impression. Front desk very helpful and quick. Breakfast very good. Lots of choices. We always stay at Holiday Inn Expresses on our way to and from Maine/Florida. Will do so again in a few months.
Really liked this hotel. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. The breakfast was very good with turkey sausage, crispy sausage links, scrambled eggs, vegetable omlets, oats, automatic pancake maker, variety of breads, yogurt, fruit, etc. There was no automatic waffle maker which I was sort of surprised about, but I was ok with the other offerings. There was a variety of teas to choose from and my husband liked the coffee. There was no shampoo in our room but other than that we were very happy here. Plenty of free parking and free newspaper.
