Most people visit Cherokee for the gambling, but we were there to learn about the Cherokee Indian culture. The hotel was close to the outdoor drama, and Indian village and appeared reasonably priced. Hotels in this area are very overpriced, I'm assuming, because of the...More
It is a motel with cigarette butts in the hallway. Everything has a cheap and not clean feel. The rooms are very old needs updating. The staff is rude an unhelpful. Would stay at Hampton, Holiday Inn Express or Microtel next time

There are both smoking and non-smoking rooms, smoking is also allowed outside (not sure about the pool area, possibly not since it is a public gathering area.) We had a smoking room in October 2015 when we were there. The lobby, breakfast room, and all other indoor public areas are non-smoking. Hope that helps!
