Our intent was to stop off in Gatlinburg, TN, only our trip to the Great Smoky Mountains. The mountains were spectacular; but everyone should run away from Gatlinburg. We certainly did. Horrible traffic, throngs of tourists, cheesy stuff everywhere, a terrible grid-locked place in such an otherwise pastoral area. So, we retreated to Cherokee, NC. It's claim to fame, a... More

Very nice Fairfield as most are, love the area, lots to do from playing in the creek to hunting down the waterfalls on any number of hikes in the Smokies. Good hot breakfast, nice area to just take a drive and look for wildlife also.

Was just passing through Cherokee one night on the way to the Carolinas, and needed a place to stay. Harrah's wanted over $260/night before tax for a very simple room. What??? The best casinos here in California run less than $100/night, and $250 in Vegas would get you a nice suite. I have no issue spending $250+/night on a hotel,... More

My friends and I had tickets to see the Ultimate Elvis contest at the Event center at Harrahs Cherokee and Casino. The hotel is right across the street from the casino floor, in fact it is closer to the casino than the casino hotels Creek and Soco towers. I chose this hotel due to location and fact that we needed... More

Nice, clean, updated hotel directly across the street from the casino. Staff was friendly throughout. Woke up the next morning and a valve had burst overnight and flooded half the hotel (opposite side). No water, breakfast, etc. On checkout, I was comped 50% off for the inconvenience. I had asked for the comp. Don't know if it would have been... More

A very clean and comfortable place to spend the night. The personnel are very friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with our stay at this Hotel. The area around it has many attractions within an easy drive so we were there for 2 nights, would have stayed 3 but they were booked.
