This hotel has been around a while but This was my first time staying and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff is friendly and eager to please and the river view from the back porch is hard to beat. It rained quite a bit during our stay so we didn't get out as much as we had liked but...

Earlier this week some friends and I drove to Cherokee to climb Mt. LeConte and stay at the lodge up there. Some of us have done this every year for years, and we always stay the night before at Newfound Lodge. It is an old school style strip motel - but here the beauty of the strip is that each...

The location of the hotel is great as it sits right on the river, with a river bed to walk on. I recommend the first floor rooms. I did find that the smoking rooms are too close to the non-smoking rooms. We were not greeted very well but it may have been the desk clerk was having a couple of...

We prefer this motel when we stay in Cherokee and it has always been our 1st choice. However on our last few visits we have notice a lot of things that need repare. Last month the baloney outside out room had a bad decaying spot on the edge of ceiling and an over grown tree had branches that invaded part...

At the last minute we decided to take a road trip to clear our heads, get away from stress and to absorb some not so great news from the MS Doctor. My father in law mention this place and I looked it up of course lol. I was skeptical to book, but did because my in laws house is ALWAYS...

There are a lot of places to go eat in Cherokee I've tried quite a few, most of which aren't worth telling. Found this place sort of by accident. From the outside nothing to get excited about. The sign advertising restaurant and buffet. My wife not being the buffet person I am. We went in I told my wife I...

We visited Cherokee for a quick pre-return to school visit and booked upstairs rooms for my wife and me (king), and my daughter, her husband and their 12-year-old son (two queens). We had stayed at this place 17 years earlier. It looked about the same as it had looked way back then. The clerk was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The...

I came to town late pm with family and dog. This place was good. Remember this is an old town and too much chance will take away from it. Comfy beds hot shower and a river view. All in town. I'd stay there again. The cost was reasonable and the staff was very friendly.

This great place is right on the river which runs through town, is older and may scare some potential folks away because of the age of the property. We checked out all available properties for a last minute stay in Cherokee, and settled on this one. The friendly young man at the front desk allowed us to look at one...
